The Fourth Volume of Instructions: The Vajra Song of Mind Training by Turns. The Fourth Volume of Instructions. The Vajra Song of Mind Training by Turns. Thus dwells the Vajra Song of Mind Training by Turns. Alas! In order to honestly treat all beings who have become parents. Whatever are the five poisons of afflictions that I possess. May they completely and honestly treat the five poisons of all sentient beings. Whatever virtues there are that are without attachment and so on. May they be equally distributed to the six kinds of sentient beings. With the suffering that has become the result, such as sickness and so on. May they honestly treat all suffering that is similar to it. Whatever benefit and happiness there is that is without sickness and so on. May it always be distributed to the six kinds of sentient beings. If one does like that, in this ocean of samsara for oneself. How could there be even a moment's chance to wander? However, as long as one has not attained enlightenment. All the experienced afflictions, causes, and results. May all of them be completely perfected in this life. May one also honestly treat them in this month of this year. May one also perfect them today, right now. Taking the complete cutting off of the fear of suffering as a means. May this mind become trained, compassionate yogi. Thus, this Vajra Song of Mind Training by Turns of love, compassion, and bodhicitta, I, the compassionate yogi, have recited for a long time. For a while, on the bank of the Ganges River, having entered into the guise of the Bhagavan Maitreya, the King of Gods, who possesses great compassion, the compassionate yogi came and spoke thus. A song that merely hearing it eliminates the suffering of the lower realms. A song that merely thinking of it cuts the tree of samsara. A song that merely meditating on it quickly brings forth enlightenment. This song of love, compassion, and bodhicitta is wonderful. The five poisons of afflictions should be destroyed like enemies. But you rely on the continuum in this way. Sickness and suffering are difficult to endure in every way. But you are so wonderful and amazing in this way. Having abandoned self-interest, you are dedicated to the benefit of others. Who does not find it difficult to wander in samsara without freedom? Therefore, without thinking of self-interest for even a moment. Taking what others do not want is supreme.

Here, there is not even a single particle of dust. Therefore, this Vajra Song sung by you, yogi, Whether it is hearing, thinking, meditating, practicing, or speaking, Is the supreme refuge for the world, including the gods. The heart essence of all the Buddhas of the ten directions, Appearing in your mind is truly wonderful. Extremely pleased, speaking in response to the Vajra Song, The loving yogi is very delighted, the knot of doubt is untied, and he enters the battlefield of the great hero Vajra. How wondrous! Like this, taking three times during the day and three times during the night, at all times and places, whether remembering or forgetting, keep this Dharma in mind, restore energy, and sing the Vajra Song. The gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, flesh-eaters, rakshasas, and so on, are all respectfully controlled by you, just as a mother loves her only child. Furthermore, the local king, queen, brahmins, householders, boys and girls, commoners, and so on, are all under your control. Following with joy, everything seen and heard becomes the nature of love. Moreover, horses, elephants, buffaloes, monkeys, birds, aquatic creatures, mountain animals, carnivores, even ants, all six types of beings are not afraid of you and gather around the yogi as if they were in their own home. Thus, what the yogi thinks in his heart is that my loving-kindness, compassion, and bodhicitta are used as a mantra. By relying on singing the melodious Vajra Song, the Blessed One Maitreya, who possesses great compassion, reveals his true face. Uttering a joyful sound, he cuts through all the nets of doubt. By relying on it, my patience and diligence, and so on, increase like the waxing moon. Therefore, like this, all different kinds of beings are all delighted with me, just as a mother sees her child. In order to repay their kindness, thinking of offering the great vehicle offering to the Blessed One Maitreya, he sings the Vajra Song: From beginningless time, closely connected, All sentient beings who have been my parents, Enlightenment
