However, because of the sea monster blocking the way, and the power of the great wind stirring up the ocean, the ship trembled and swayed like a great banner moved by the wind, sometimes being carried into the sky, sometimes being slammed into the depths of the ocean, and the four great directional banners swayed. Although four great rocks of raging water were thrown into the depths of the ocean, there were roaring sounds, crashing sounds, light, and great dry lightning, as if four great drums were being beaten from the four directions, and all the retinue were very frightened and trembling greatly. Again, Remaining in the samādhi of compassion. The Paṇḍita Essence of Earth prayed to the Lama as follows: Arise, arise, Lama of great compassion! You have no equal on this earth. This fear and harm brought by the black side today. Please pacify it with your great compassion. If you can liberate all beings from the ocean of existence. Today the black side has set up an obstacle here. Alas, the red wind is stirring and the hail is falling violently. The great fish-swallowing creature is creating fear in front. Venerable one, please protect us from this fear. The ocean is stirred by the wind and the waves surge into the sky. Unpleasant loud noises are emitted and red lightning flickers. The shaking was intense. It swayed in the sky and crashed in the depths. O venerable one, I beseech you now to protect me from this fear. Your qualities are like the sky. The Dharma protectors who are bound by oath are like garudas. They circle and dispel obstacles. But even when such obstacles arise now, they do not protect. Dwelling in the realm of solitude, how small is your compassion? That is, the dakinis and Dharma protectors of inner and outer secret mantras, as well as the arhat heroes and heroines, the wisdom deity assembly, all the deities who delight in the white side, surround from all directions, and now in this great ocean, may you, Lama, dispel with the force of compassion. The Bhagavan Yamaraja, the Red Executioner, whom others cannot subdue, is surrounded by attendants who terrify Yamaraja. Together with the immovable protector and the assembly of the ten wrathful ones, and the goddess of auspicious splendor who protects from the eight fears, may you, Dharma King Lama, dispel with your power. The lord of the teachings, the venerable Buddha Bhagavan, the venerable Avalokiteśvara, the one with the stainless mandala, the two Dharma King father and son who dispel the suffering of beings, the time has come, generate the paternal power of compassion, may the stream of uncontaminated blessings be prolonged forever. I clearly heard such a special prayer. I also saw the Bhagavan, the subduer of Yamaraja, with a red-black body and a large belly, his dark black hair standing on end, his red eyes glaring in anger in all directions. As soon as I saw him, the weapons of the other wrathful deities fell to the ground. It struck Mount Meru, and Mount Meru split into pieces, connecting with the depths of the golden foundation beneath Mount Meru, demarcating the boundary. Turning upwards, the great ocean was stirred, boiling like blood, and aquatic creatures were devoured, leaving only white bones. In an instant, he transformed into a young, fleshless child, appeared in the boat, prostrated, and folded his palms. King of wrathful ones, you are extremely powerful, greatly compassionate, the sole protector of beings. I am very remorseful because of fear, but now please
