Here, according to the tradition of the Ati Yoga vehicle, to liberate the fortunate ones effortlessly, it is considered necessary to have one that possesses four connections. What are the four? The tantra is connected with empowerment, the empowerment is connected with instructions, the instructions are connected with practice, and the practice is connected with the blessings of the lineage of the lama. Among these, the tantras are: the tantra of King Lalitavajra, the tantra of the Brahmin who distinguishes, and the oral instruction tantra that directly shows self-liberation, including the root and explanatory tantras. Among these, also extracted from the King's tantra cycle, such as the Kunjed Gyalpo (All-Creating King) Mother and Son Nine Cycles, etc., are the Dkolwa Dumbu'i Gyud (Tantra of Taming the Fragments?) or the Nyingpo Manngag gi Gyud (Heart Essence Oral Instruction Tantra), which are known as the Semde Mother and Son Eighteen. The connection of these tantras with empowerment is: with the oral instruction of self-examination, the empowerment of rigpa's potential is conferred, like extracting the heart of a newborn, etc., these eighteen empowerments of rigpa's potential. The connection of empowerment with instructions is: the cushion practice, etc. The connection of instructions with practice is: this written practice that will be explained, arranged by me according to the order and practice of the lineage of the lama. The way this practice is connected with the blessings of the lineage of the lama is: from Dharmakaya Kuntuzangpo (Samantabhadra) up to me, the lineage is unbroken and undiminished, therefore it is connected with blessings. And what are those?
