Commentary on the Meaning of the Three Sections: An Explanation of the Precious Treasury of Reality. Commentary on the Meaning of the Three Sections: An Explanation of the Precious Treasury of Reality. The First Section: An Explanation Establishing That All Dharmas Are Inexpressible in Any Way. The Explanation of the Precious Treasury of Reality, an Explanation of the Meaning of the Three Sections, is present. In Sanskrit: Tathā-tva-ratna-koṣa-nāma-vṛtti. In Tibetan: The Explanation Called "The Precious Treasury of Reality." Homage to glorious Samantabhadra! From the beginning, the expanse of spontaneously accomplished perfections, the original protector who is the glory of samsara and nirvana, and to the victorious vidyadhara Dharma kings and lamas, I pay homage with a thousand petals of faith waving. The pinnacle of the vehicle, supremely excellent, from the vast expanse of the secret instructions of the Heart Essence of Manifestation, the condensed meaning of the heart, the ultimate definitive meaning, I will clarify the explanation of the Precious Treasury of Reality. When glorious Samantabhadra awakened to all dharmas on the original ground, abiding in the vajra realm of great equality, the supreme fruit of turning the wheel of the definitive meaning of Dharma is the mind of awareness, the Dharmakaya accomplished, the unchanging suchness without elimination or transformation. It is the great secret that manifestly shows transcendence of cause and effect, effort and accomplishment. Gathering together all the ultimate definitive points of that, it is the instruction manual called "The Precious Treasury of Reality." Here, I will clarify its points. For now, first, the homage: From the beginning, the ground of manifest enlightenment as a Buddha, the unchanging, spontaneously accomplished vajra heart essence realm, the nature of mind, the self-nature of Dzogchen, I pay homage because there is no abandonment, no acceptance, no going or coming. Thus it is said. This verse establishes the vajra realm of this treatise, and the essence of the meaning is the spontaneously arising wisdom, the ground of the spontaneously accomplished Buddha, the unchanging Dharmadhatu, the self-nature of mind, the self-luminous nature of Dzogchen. It shows homage in the manner of being free from abandonment and acceptance, contraction and expansion, and not moving from its own place, the nature of Dharma. Therefore, the spontaneously arising wisdom, Dzogchen, is all-encompassing.

Transcending the earth, transcending all accomplishments, eliminations, efforts, and practices. In the Tantra of the Great Self-Arisen Awareness, it says: Ema! Great Perfection Ati, not falling to any side, utilizes the meaning of self-arisen wisdom. For example, like a fierce lion, overwhelming with the power of its claws. Great Perfection speaks its own language, subduing the lower vehicles; Great Perfection speaks its own language and then abides in its own meaning. In the realm of Great Perfection, there is neither Buddha nor sentient being; on the basis of Great Perfection, there is neither good nor bad; on the path of Great Perfection, there is neither near nor far; on the fruit of Great Perfection, there is neither attainment nor non-attainment; in the body of Great Perfection, there is neither yes nor no; in the speech of Great Perfection, there is neither alteration nor non-alteration; in the mind of Great Perfection, there is neither object nor characteristic; in the space of Great Perfection, there is neither exhaustion nor emptiness; in the place of Great Perfection, there is neither high nor low; in the Dharma of Great Perfection, there is neither practice nor non-practice; in the power of Great Perfection, there is neither completion nor non-completion; in the play of Great Perfection, there is neither arising nor non-arising; in the meaning of Great Perfection, there is neither meditation nor non-meditation; in the awareness of Great Perfection, there is neither high nor non-high; Great Perfection wisdom plays in all great secrets; the boundary of Great Perfection cannot be pointed out as "this"; in the meaning of Great Perfection, there is neither word nor letter; the view of the Great Perfection King abides thus. Without words and letters, it utilizes the meaning of Great Perfection. Without clarity and dimness, grasping and conception, it is the force of self-appearing bliss. In the meaning of Great Perfection, there is no such abiding. Thus it is said. Among these, the first three lines show the nature of self-arisen essence, and the fourth line shows how to become accustomed to that state. Because the fruit is only distinguished by gaining stability from the initial basis where the essence is shown in its own place. All dharmas are shown to be complete in the mind of awareness and enlightenment, as it says in the Kunjed Gyalpo: "In this, there is nothing that is not complete. One complete, two complete, all complete, actions are easily accomplished perfectly. One complete is complete in the mind of enlightenment, two complete is complete in what is done by the mind, all complete is complete in natural perfection. With this prophecy of completion in one, the Buddha's intention abides in this. With this meaning of all complete, everything is perfectly accomplished. Whoever abides in this without action, this body, whether person, god, or human, their intention is the Dharma-nature Buddha. With this, benefit sentient beings."
