Earth born. The body mandala, the channels, and the places. Thus it is. Seventh, the measure is: The measure of the wisdom of the base-place is to abide in the heat that is equal to the intention. The measure of the wisdom of focused perception is the mingling of space and awareness, thereby gaining freedom of consciousness. The measure of the wisdom of unceasing mindfulness is that appearance and liberation are indistinguishable, thoughts are exhausted, and one abides in the intention of self-liberation, so that awareness is not stolen by circumstances. The measure of the wisdom of individual discernment is that all phenomena of duality are individually distinguished and settled. The measure of the wisdom of the three modes of entry is that one understands the meaning of words and abides in the self-nature of meaning. Thus it is also said in "The Blazing Lamp": The measure of the self-born wisdom of the base-place, from the arising of the experience of the equality of all phenomena, is the attainment of the confidence of stable consciousness. That nature is not change, and because it always abides in the continuum, this grasps the wisdom of the base-place. This body is also light, and all consciousnesses are clear. The measure of the wisdom of focused perception is the sign of experiencing the seated posture. The light of the five colors of the body mandala, without effort, shines outward, and in this, consciousness grasps its own ground. The body also does not touch the ground. By this, whatever consciousness focuses on, even gross objects can be digested. It is the measure of the mastery of one's own abilities. The measure of the wisdom of unceasing mindfulness is that consciousness does not enter into others. One is happy to be alone, and always believes in solitary places. One does not want to associate with people, and consciousness is focused and unchanging. Also, one is free from grasping the essence of what others say. In the unchanging confidence of view, one feels like walking in the sky. The mind stops where it is focused. Even the circumstances of others, how could they transform this? The unrestrained consciousness is blissful and expansive. The person who is born with this has grasped the wisdom of unceasing mindfulness. The measure of the wisdom of individual discernment is also the basis of all and the Dharmakaya. The sign of distinguishing them is like this: after being free from attachment to the body, awareness abides where it is focused, and the body becomes like a stone. Because of distinguishing mind and wisdom, the doors of the moving ones also cease. Who can distinguish the essence and dross of the elements? Gross appearances cease on their own, and one enjoys bliss in the life force. Likewise, who can distinguish samsara and nirvana? The mind of delusion

They cannot arise. Even if they arise, they are without benefit or harm. Like that, through self-knowing wisdom, to determine samsara and nirvana, is the wisdom of individual self-realization. The measure of the three kinds of entering wisdom, by speaking all dharmas in one word, one knows all its treatises, this is the wisdom of hearing that has reached its measure. Whatever one contemplates with wisdom, its essence arises comfortably in the continuum, and contemplation will also occur in the same way. Whatever arises, it is not harmed by conditions, and delusion and attachment naturally cease, through this one obtains the wisdom of meditation. Thus it is said. The eighth is a similar example: one recognizes and understands the object that is looked at, and burns all the afflictions, like a fire spreading on dry grass. From the burning of a lamp, for example, on dry grass without moisture, even if a small spark is encountered, the flame will spread and burn all the grass, likewise wisdom can burn away habitual tendencies. All of these are lamps of wisdom. Thus it is said. In the Compendium it says: Through wisdom, having fully understood the nature of dharmas, one will truly be liberated from the entirety of the three realms. As it is said. From the Precious Treasury of the Supreme Vehicle, showing the categories of the four lamps, this is the thirteenth chapter. Thirteenth Chapter: Showing the Categories of the Four Lamps.
