From the "String of Pearls": In this body of delusion with conceptual thoughts, the stainless and pure Dharmakaya abides in a state of being found without searching. How then to explain the way of abiding in conjunction with vast purity? From "Self-Arisen": Likewise, the Buddhas of the three times are said to be the great manifestation of oneself. That is, the three of body, speech, and mind. Speech is the Buddha of the past. Mind is the Buddha of the future. Body is the Buddha of the present. The three Buddhas abide in this way. And from the "String of Pearls": Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, teacher, place, retinue, and time, Dharmakaya, Sambhogakaya, and Nirmanakaya, Vinaya, Sutra, and Abhidharma, Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, Bodhisattvas. And: The white dharmas of the past are all complete in body and mind. And: Because of its completeness, there is no place to be found by searching elsewhere. If combined with similar purity, then all phenomena of samsara and nirvana are said to be complete in body and mind. From that very text: Earth, water, fire, and wind, and space, sun and moon, male and female forms, planets and stars, clouds, trees, mountains, and rocks, roots, trunks, branches, leaves, flowers, and fruits, smell, taste, sound, and touch, musical instruments and parasols, victory banners and flags, these are the phenomena of samsara, all complete in the yogi's body. Earth is flesh, the substance itself; water is blood, the gathering itself; fire is warmth, ripening the whole body; wind is breath, sustaining the body's essence; space is mind, holding the body's radiance; sun and moon are eyes, making them clear; male is birth itself, female appears as death; planets are moles, stars are freckles; clouds are hair, trees are veins; mountains are the body, rocks are bones; roots are the heart, trunks are legs; branches are limbs, flowers are the five senses, fruits are the accomplishment of the body. Smell is body hair, taste is skin, sound is speech, touch is the interior, musical instruments are internal organs, parasols are bile, victory banners are name, flags are saliva. These are complete in the yogi's body. In awareness itself, see it thus: the five elements are the five lights, sun and moon are wisdom and means, male is the base, female is the path, planets are

Stars are the measure of Dharma, clouds are compassion pervading all, trees are the path of increasing compassion, mountains are the unchanging view, rocks are the Dharmakaya free from birth and death. The root is the single cause of all dharmas, the branches are the limbs of Bodhi, the trunk is emptiness with one taste, the leaves are the pervasive realm of Dharma, the flower is the lamp of wisdom, the fruit is the spontaneous perfection of the three bodies. Sound is the sound of the nature of Dharma, smell is renowned as the speech of the Buddha, taste is the taste of experiencing bliss, touch is the garment of great meditation. Musical instruments are the completion of the mandala of five lights, the pennant is the radiance of clear colors, the umbrella is the protection, the sharpness of wisdom, the banner is the key point of profound instructions, the victory banner is the realization of manifest enlightenment. The nature of mind, the face of all dharmas, is inherently present as spontaneously accomplished. Therefore, all dharmas of mind and things are merely labels. Thus it is said. Furthermore, if the ground of awareness is not complete, then the proximate body and mind are also incomplete; if that is incomplete, then the external objects appearing to the mind are also incomplete. Just as a barren woman has no child, therefore has no face; having no face, therefore does not appear in the mirror. Appearances arise from the completeness of appearances in body and mind, and that arises from the completeness of awareness. Just as Devadatta has a head, therefore has a face; having a face, therefore an image appears in the mirror. These are also as the All-Creating King Tantra says: "However it appears is my very nature, however it arises is my very nature, other than me, there are no dharmas here that can encompass appearance and existence." And as the Jewel Ornament Array Tantra says: "Like a face and a mirror, whatever appears, appears as such." And it also says: "All Buddha-fields are empty, selfless, and vast." Thus it is said. From the Treasury of Precious Words, showing how the essence of the Buddha pervades, that is the third Vajra Place, extensively explained. The Third Vajra Place, extensively explaining how the essence of the Buddha pervades.
