The basis of completion is said to be the appearance of the Dharma-nature, primordially pure. Explaining the basis of the means of realization, the realm is in the lamp of the realm, and awareness is clear like a string of mercury. The realm-awareness that appears on the path is in the halo of light, and awareness is said to be the appearance of the five bodies. The realm-awareness that carries to the end is in the appearance of self-nature, and awareness is shown as body and essence. Therefore, realm and awareness are explained, and they abide perfectly in suchness. Realm and awareness, the three wisdoms, abide in a state of inseparability. So it is said. Third, there are three instructions for realization: Thinking about the faults of non-realization, one must realize. Here, since all dharmas have been taught, one must realize. Because it is necessary to practice, it is taught to realize. The first is from the Tantra of the Pile of Jewels: If you do not know the inseparability of realm and awareness, who meditates on non-conceptual stupor? It is like cutting a mountain in the waist. Thus, it is said that labor is meaningless. The second is from the Perfection of Skill: The meaning of realm and awareness is the reality of all views, meditations, and actions. Wisdom is self-appearing, free from grasping and clinging. The meaning of realm and awareness itself. Everything is gathered in this state. So it is said. Third, the essence of awareness is the Dharma-body, stainless, primordially pure, so it is beyond view, meditation, and practice, but like saying there is a yak in the north, it is useless if you do not practice. For the coarse body and the deluded mind, it is necessary to strike the key point of the realm-awareness instructions, so it is necessary to know realm-awareness. From the Wordless Text: Ema! The appearance of non-existence is very wonderful, but because it is obscured by the coarse five elements, it is not possible to appear without a body. The essence of self-appearing awareness is majestic and brilliant, but because it is obscured by subtle afflictions, it cannot be constant. The appearance of the established Dharma-nature is clear and pure, but because it is obscured by various and diverse behaviors, it is not manifest. Also, the essence of awareness is difficult to grasp, but the power of wisdom is achieved slowly. The realm of awareness abides without change, but the power of awareness is achieved because the conditions are exhausted. The self-nature of awareness pervades all, but the Dharma-body comes down to the oral instructions. So it is said. Second, there are two ways to explain the practice in detail: generally explaining the key points of the relationship between realm and awareness, and the individual

Explanation of specific key points. First, recognizing one's own nature through skillful means; second, cultivating within that state; and third, the fruit of certain liberation. Among these three, the first is from the *Transcending Mind*: "Here, the general view is seen through familiarity and key points. Since familiarity precedes, one begins by focusing the body and speech on the key points, thereby seeing the pure form of self-appearance, and all illusions vanish." This is the first point. The second point is divided into: recognizing the essence of the view; naturally abiding in the state of meditation; and practicing inseparable conduct. The view is that the expanse appears as light, and the awareness appears as a continuous stream. As it says in the same text: "Light, color, and form itself, reveal the self-appearance of the five wisdoms." This is the view. Meditation is, from the *Six Spaces*: "When the twofold expanse appears, one should bring the expanse and awareness to their limits, and one should be skilled in the exhaustion of phenomena, with all appearances being nothing whatsoever." And, "Through familiarity with self-luminous intelligence, the internally clear mind does not stray outward, the mind does not follow after objects." This is meditation. Conduct is, from the *Transcending Mind*: "The practice of conduct lies in the expanse of awareness, inseparable with the three nails, constantly familiarizing oneself and practicing. When all dharmas are free from action, and the connection between samsara and nirvana is severed, conceptual illusions cease, and the precipice of samsara is completely cut off, this is the conduct of a great yogi." This is conduct. The key point of self-nature is, as it says in the same text: "The key point of awareness is to extract, curl up, and cast into space. The key point of the expanse is to gather, draw in, and combine with the distinction of elements." This is the key point of self-nature. Third, the fruit of certain liberation is that, temporarily, awareness matures into form through the increase of appearances, and ultimately, one practices on exhaustion, thereby awareness gains its own ground in the primordially pure appearance of the expanse, thus reaching the limit. In the *Transcending Mind* it says: "On the lamp of the pure expanse, the thigle body and illusions are purified, self-nature itself and essence itself, appear as non-dual and inseparable. The characteristic of exhaustion at this time is that, non-action is like space. And, although the fruit cannot be expressed, the dharmas reach the point of exhaustion, and the boundary of one's own accomplishment also collapses. At this time, the guru's instructions vanish, the limits of view, meditation, and conduct are exhausted, therefore what appears as dharma does not exist, the continuum of body and wisdom is severed, there is no Buddha and no sen
