I, from the 'String of Pearls'. From the union of method and wisdom, the causes of father and mother, driven by the propelling wind, the great bliss of self-aware bodhicitta, the seed from the causes of the five elements, arises visibly in the realm of emptiness. The equal entering of the bliss of the two, is the wisdom born from method. Entering into the womb of the mother, self-awareness arises visibly from the ground. Seven sets of seven are the measure of realization. Ten months traverse the lands. Being born is the establishment of the body, the arising of the body is the ground of visible objects. Abiding in the body is the ground, aging clears away delusions. From sickness arises the confidence of realization. Death liberates the nature of reality into emptiness. All sentient beings who appear as forms, are effortlessly and primordially completely enlightened. Thus it is said. Therefore, all sentient beings possess the Dharma-nature of Buddhahood, hence they are called Buddhas. If one does not understand the union of Dharma-nature, and rashly jumps off cliffs and precipices, saying that everything is primordially Buddha, is self-appearance, this is the speech of a foolish person speaking recklessly. It is no different from someone babbling in their sleep. Furthermore, by combining Dharma-nature and purity, one should realize that what appears as the realms of sentient beings and the outer and inner worlds, is the mandala of the Buddha. As the 'Guhyagarbha Tantra' says: The limbs of the Vajra heap, are known as the five complete Buddhas. All the many sense bases and elements, are the nature of Bodhisattvas. Earth and water are eyes and Mamaki Mamaki). Fire and wind are White-clad Tara. Space is the sovereign mother of the Dharmadhatu. All of the three realms, all phenomena without exception, all without exception are Buddha-fields. Dharma other than Buddhahood, is not attained by Buddhahood itself. Thus it is said. And as the 'Uttaratantra' says: The nature of illusory appearance, was not seen before as wisdom. Conceptual delusion is without basis, therefore realize it as the great Dharmakaya, Samantabhadra. The self-thought of delusion ceases. Thus, appearance without delusion, arises from the key point of primordial liberation. The aggregates of beings are the body of the Buddha, who does not recognize that it is primordially so? Thus it is said. And as the 'Heap of Jewels' says: The object of attachment to self and grasping, from the very beginning is the nature of reality. All of this appears by itself, primordial appearance was not recognized before. The five afflictions that bind self-thought, are primordially self-arisen as awareness, simultaneously.

There is no dwelling or attachment. Thus, just as samsara, which is primordially enlightened, arises as the self-display of awareness, nirvana is also shown to be nothing other than the purification of the self-display of the Buddha himself. The Buddhas of the three times are the purity of self-display. Since there is no acceptance or rejection, everything is equal. There is not even a particle to be obtained from elsewhere. All phenomena are clear in the vast expanse of mind itself. There is not the slightest deviation from the meaning of equality. Awareness is merely purified from adventitious stains. Other than that, there is no need to seek the nature of the Buddha from anything other than the mind itself of cause, condition, effort, and accomplishment. For awareness being pure is called Buddha, and there is nothing other than that. That appearance of the Buddha is also not other than the way awareness appears. Therefore, enlightenment in the realm of bodhicitta is also not a place to be found from elsewhere. As it says in the Guhyagarbha Tantra: "From any direction in the ten directions and four times, a perfect Buddha will not be found. Since mind itself is the perfect Buddha, do not seek the Buddha elsewhere. Even if you search, you will not find the Victorious One." And in the Kunjed Gyalpo Tantra: "Phenomena, existence, dharma, and non-existence, bodhicitta, the suchness of mind, arise as suchness. If suchness is not realized, they are seen separately. Those who seek suchness from the realm will not find it even if the Victorious Ones of the three times search." And: "Even the Buddhas of the past who have passed away saw and realized their own uncorrected mind from the beginning." If such awareness is realized as its own nature, mistakes and obscurations are naturally cut off. There is no inside or outside, no arising or ceasing, no confusion. The root that dispels the darkness of the extremes is bodhicitta. Without abandoning anything, mistakes are naturally cut off. Since the nature of awareness is beyond acceptance, rejection, action, and effort, there is no other place to go or look. Therefore, there are no mistakes or obscurations. If the nature of awareness is left to itself, and then effort and contemplation are made separately, mistakes and obscurations will arise. As it says in the Kunjed Gyalpo Tantra: "This nature of bodhicitta is the essence of all dharmas without exception. Since it is unborn and completely pure, there are no obscurations. Since it is free from the path of going, there are no mistakes. Since it is spontaneously accomplished from the beginning, there is no need to seek it. The essence of all dharmas is the single bodhicitta. Mistakes and obscurations arise from enumerating the one in various ways. Mistakes arise from going on the path that cannot be gone. Looking without an object
