That. The great spontaneously perfect, self-arisen awareness from the very beginning. Since it is not liberated, will not be liberated, and will not become liberated, the past is merely a name, and no one has ever been liberated. Since it will not become liberated, there is no bondage from the very beginning. Like the sky, it is completely pure, without limits, and free from partiality. This is the view of complete liberation, primordial purity. Because the basis of dependence is wrong, the dharma that depends on it is wrong, and because the dependent dharmas are mutually wrong, the dharma that depends on them is also reversed. Here, because the wrongness of the dependent dharma that is not mistaken is reversed, there is no establishment even in the state of non-mistakenness, so nirvana is merely a name. What is taught as being beyond samsara, nirvana, bondage, and liberation is stated in the Kunje Gyalpo Tantra: 'There is no saying that ultimate reality is a higher state. There is no attainment through realizing the path of delusion and enlightenment. Self-arisen wisdom itself is free from the limits of words.' And in the Khyunchen Tantra: 'There is no Buddha, and who is bound by the net? Who has delusion and ignorance, and who has sentient beings? There is no name.' Therefore, since there is no liberation from the beginning, there is no later liberation. Who desires the result of a path without a basis? Because of desire, this obscures the state of liberation. Emptiness, clarity, existence, and non-existence, permanence and annihilation, cause and effect, these four pairs, a total of eight, are without extremes, equal to the expanse of space. And in the Guhyagarbha Tantra: 'No one is bound, there is no bondage, there is no one to be bound. There is no bondage, there is no liberation, the dharma of the Buddha is spontaneously perfect from the beginning. For the sake of teaching, various displays are made.' Thus it is. Now, since samsara and nirvana have never existed, the meaning is summarized in the spontaneously equal, vast expanse of space. In short, from the womb of the spontaneously perfect, vast expanse, whatever arises as the play of samsara and nirvana, from the very moment of arising, samsara and nirvana have never existed. Whatever arises as a dream from the power of sleep, in reality it does not exist, and on the bed of self-awareness and bliss, it is completely spread out in the spontaneously equal, vast expanse. The point of this chapter is that samsara and nirvana, which arise from the expanse and from within it, are like dreams, so they are met in the great equality without a basis. From these, the meaning is summarized into one: whatever dharmas arise from within awareness, such as samsara, nirvana, and existence, the way of playing at the gate of spontaneous perfection does not cease, but only arises by itself. In reality, it is taught that nothing is established, which is Whatever good or bad dreams arise, they have not gone away from one's own awareness sleeping on the bed.

For example, the self-appearance without limitation or bias arises naturally in emptiness. As it says in the 'Great Garuda': 'The mind that has never been biased from the beginning, to whom does the appearance of samsara and evil destinies appear to be established? Like an untrue dream, an illusion, a city of gandharvas, it is impossible for a false appearance to have the power of truth.' And as it says in the 'All-Creating King': 'Because there is no Buddha, there is not even the name of sentient beings. It transcends the dharma that is merely labeled as existence.' So it is. In the 'Treasury of the Dharmadhatu', it shows the nature that has not moved from the sphere of samsara and nirvana, which is the commentary on the first chapter.
