In the Vajrayana, the outer three tantras have views similar to those of the Mahayana of characteristics, and in ultimate truth, they establish the nature of being unestablished in anything. Most mantra practitioners nowadays follow that. The inner three tantras establish conventional appearances as the very nature of the deity as inseparable from truth. Therefore, abandoning the grasping of separate truths, all phenomena are established as the essence of the definitive meaning alone. It merely removes the obscurations of the spontaneously accomplished essence realm, and since it does not want the essence of cause and effect to be separate, it should be known as the unconditioned, self-manifesting mandala.

Although different in the order of the Mother and Non-Dual Tantras, it is acknowledged that their essence is the same in achieving bliss. It seems that nowadays, those who understand such a state of affairs are very few. That is, based on refuting the clinging to the pot, stating the examination of the pot's particles and time, and determining that it is not established, that is provisional meaning. Once the clinging to the pot is removed, the pot is established; just as cutting cloth and the like, taking water and the like becomes the definitive meaning, it must be understood in that way. If one does not understand that, and always follows after refuting the clinging to the pot, clinging to nothingness, that is said to be far from the path of the nihilistic Great Vehicle, and especially, it is said to be without the fortune of the Vajra Vehicle. Even if one realizes that there are no particles, what harm is there if one mentally establishes the coarse as coarser when establishing it, and realizes it in that way? In the ultimate sense, these two abide in the same state, similar only in the habit of conceptual thought. In the ultimate sense, stating the reasoning of particles, coarse, and time is the nature of conceptual thought, not the definitive meaning, nor does it explain the profound, peaceful, and single-pointed intention of the Buddha, free from elaboration. Therefore, at the time of this establishment, it cannot be determined by scriptures and reasoning that are confused by conceptual thought, so one must hold the nature of the tantra as it is. This is the tradition of the Vajra Peak, pleasing the glorious protector, the noble lama, receiving blessings, and it is the realm of practice for those with great wisdom and the eye of intelligence, not for those with childish conceptual thought and one-sided eyes. They will close their eyes to this state, just as the eyes of the owl become blind when the sun rises. Now, gathering together all the essential meanings of the nature of the unsurpassed Vajra Vehicle, and entering into the way of practice, that is: the essential completion stage of the Father Tantra, practicing the yoga of wisdom and skillful means of wind, inseparable from depth and clarity; the essential completion stage of the Mother Tantra, practicing the yoga of skillful means and bindu, of bliss and clarity, inconceivable; and the essential completion stage of the Non-Dual Tantra, practicing the yoga of subtle skillful means of wisdom, luminosity, and non-conceptualization, all three are equally taught in this instruction. If one does not know their basis, they will not arise.
