Similar to the four great elements. Some deities with power and glory are similar to the Thirty-three Gods. Some killing Rakshasas are similar to the Pretas. Some ignorant animals are similar to animals. Even the gods in the higher realms have suffering such as death, transference, and falling. The suffering is immeasurable, like an endless ocean of water. The Thirty-three Gods and the like, in the six desire realms, are intoxicated by desire and reckless, so at the time of death, they experience the suffering of fearing where they will be born, like a fish placed on hot sand, and after experiencing seven days of divine suffering, they transmigrate. There are many fights, struggles, and sorrows. In the two higher realms, there is also immeasurable suffering of rebirth. The length of life has already been discussed. Now, in conclusion, the advice is to be weary of the nature of samsara, which should be abandoned: Thus, samsara is like a pit of fire, with no time for happiness, like a water-drawing device. From one to another, without beginning or end. Wise people should generate joy for liberation. There is no happiness in any of the three realms and six realms, just as there is no coolness in a pit of fire. That is, after enjoying the pleasures of the gods, one experiences boiling water and the like in hell. In lifetimes passed from one to another, it is impossible to think that I have not experienced this happiness and suffering, have not lived in this place, have not lived in this womb, and have not drunk more milk than the ocean. Even if one has transmigrated so much, there is still no liberation, so one must generate weariness because one will transmigrate as before. As it says in the "Admonition to Students": There is no place that has not been inhabited, and there is no direction in the sky that has not been traveled. However, attachment and craving continue to increase. There is no suffering that has not been experienced many times before. There is no desire that any being has satisfied. There is no sentient being in whose belly one has not slept. However, how can there be detachment for those who are bound to samsara? What being has not gone a hundred times to the realms of existence? Where is the happiness that has not been experienced many times before? And as it says in the "Friendly Epistle": Each one has drunk more milk than four oceans, but those who follow each birth will drink even more. Thus it is said. The benefits of liberation.

After contemplating, the instruction is that one must definitely be liberated from samsara: From such a meaningless samsara, the direction of liberation is nirvana, which is the nectar of peace and coolness, unsurpassed, constant, stable, unchanging, free from elaboration, the self-nature of qualities, complete in body, without aging or death, without obscurations, without impurities, a place of benefit and happiness, a refuge and reliance for beings. For such nirvana, virtuous ones should strive to go. Samsara appears as a detestable, fault-filled, difficult-to-cross pit of fire, while nirvana is a desirable forest of peace and coolness, rich in qualities such as strength and fearlessness, constant and stable because there is no aging or death, a superior and pure place without obscurations. After going there oneself, one should also encourage others to diligently pursue the path of honesty. From the Great Vehicle's quintessential text, "The Wish-Fulfilling Treasury," the extensive commentary on the seventeenth chapter, "Thinking of Samsara as Suffering and Nirvana as Bliss." Seventeenth: Commentary on the chapter on thinking of samsara as suffering and nirvana as bliss.
