Extensive explanation. 21st: Explanation of the chapter showing the boundaries of the path to be traversed. Having thus shown the meaning of how to meditate on the main subject, since it is certain that grounds, paths, and heat will arise from meditating on it, its distinctions are stated. Thus, by meditating, the ground and path to be traversed are also well explained by combining the inner and outer. The four paths of accumulation, application, seeing, and meditation are completely perfected, and therefore Buddhahood is achieved. For this reason, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment are also taught as pure Dharma in the mandalas. Here, in the Secret Mantra, the thirty-seven pure Dharmas of the mandala are also taught, and since the two aspects of unerringly indicating the path in essence are in agreement, here the inner and outer are combined and explained. Moreover, when the winds and minds of the four chakras become workable, the qualities of the four paths appear in sequence. From the release of two knots each of the central channel, the qualities of the ten grounds are considered to appear from within. The new and old Secret Mantras arise in harmony. From the winds and minds of the four chakras becoming workable in sequence, the qualities of the complete four paths of accumulation, application, seeing, and meditation appear. And when two knots each of the twenty-one knots of the two channels, *ro* and *rkyang*, in the central channel are released, the qualities of each of the ten grounds appear. By the final release, the state of Buddhahood is achieved, according to the great teacher Vimalamitra and the accomplished scholars such as Padmasambhava. How is it? The first of the extensive explanations: Because the wind and mind of the Emanation Wheel are workable, the signs of heat of the three paths of accumulation appear. One sees the face of the Buddha's Emanation Body and emanates emanations. Among the two, the workability and the mastery of wind and mind, it is workable when entering there. Mastery requires the release of the knots together with their branches. Also, because the wind and mind are workable in the root petals that generate at the navel, the signs of heat of the three paths of accumulation, small, medium, and large, appear. One sees the face of the Buddha's Emanation Body, and because the eye, clairvoyance, and subtle miracles are accomplished, one is able to emanate and transform. Also, it is because one cultivates the four legs of miracles, such as aspiration, and gains mastery. Coarse minds are in the path of application.
