The abode of those who are always intoxicated with honey wine. The fourth is the abode of the four great kings and their retinues. In the east are the Gandharvas, in the south are the Kumbhandas, in the west are the Nagas, and in the north are the abodes of the Yaksha races such as Vaishravana. Among the four types of palaces, in the east is the palace of King Dhritarashtra, called Dhritarashtra; in the south is the palace of King Virudhaka, called Virudhaka; in the west is the palace of King Virupaksha, called Various Forms; and in the north is the palace of King Vaishravana, called Willow Grove. The dimensions of all are 250 yojanas on each side. The inner ground is decorated with various colors. Like the petals of a cottonwood tree, it sinks when stepped on and springs up when lifted. Golden sand is spread on the ground, sprinkled with sandalwood water. Heavenly Mandarava flowers cover up to the knees. In the ponds built with four kinds of jewels, water is filled like honey. On the banks of the ponds are wish-fulfilling trees that produce flowers and four kinds of clothes, as well as flowers that grow in water and on land, and birds and bees dwelling on them make pleasant sounds, thus adorning them, etc., adorned with immeasurable enjoyments. Furthermore, on the four sides of the summit of Mount Yoke-Holder are the palaces of the four great kings. On the seven golden mountains also, the cities of the gods of the four great king races are adorned with beauty. Even the peaks of the surrounding mountains, the mountain gods, the tree gods, and the forest gods belong to the gods of the four great king races. Therefore, their abodes are very numerous. Among them, what is particularly explained is the abode of the gods of the sun, moon, planets, and stars: The sun, moon, planets, and stars are in the middle of Mount Meru. The solar disc is fifty-one yojanas. The lower base is made of fire crystal, and the edge is made of gold. The lunar disc is fifty yojanas. The lower base is made of water crystal, and the edge is made of silver. Halfway up the mountain king Meru, at the same level as the summit of Mount Yoke-Holder, is where the sun, moon, planets, and stars appear. The diameter of the solar disc is fifty-one yojanas, and the circumference is three times that. The lower base is made of fire crystal, so it is very hot and has intense rays. The diameter of the moon is fifty yojanas, and the circumference is completely round.
