Collection of Teachings by Ngawang Lodro Drakpa, JNLD358: 'A Supplement to the Great Tsok Offering of Paltrul Rinpoche: Promoting Benefit for Beings' 'A Supplement to the Great Tsok Offering of Paltrul Rinpoche: Promoting Benefit for Beings' 'A Supplement to the Great Tsok Offering of Paltrul Rinpoche: Promoting Benefit for Beings' Homage to the lotus feet of the Lama, inseparable from the supreme Lord of the World, Avalokiteśvara. Here, as a supplement to the Great Tsok Offering of Desired Objects composed by Dzogchen Paltrul Rinpoche, in the manner of a supplementary aid, beginning with the invocation of blessings, the categories of tsok guests are: Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas, Yidams, Mantra Holders, Vidyādharas, powerful and mighty spirits, beings of the six realms, inferior beings, the poor, beggars, mendicants, intermediate state beings, pretas, those who partake of offerings, and local deities. For these thirteen categories of guests, the common self-generation is to be done at the beginning of all supplementary procedures, namely, taking refuge and generating bodhicitta: Namo. I respectfully take refuge in the infallible, supreme Three Jewels from this time until the essence of enlightenment. Please protect me and all sentient beings from the fears of samsara and nirvana. (Recite three times) May all sentient beings, as vast as the sky, have happiness. For the sake of liberating them from all suffering, I now open this vast and profound door of offering and generosity. (Recite three times) Then, the self-generation: Instantly, one's own ordinary appearance is dissolved into the expanse of emptiness, and from the wisdom of the pure, equal, primordial ground, arises on a lotus and moon seat the supreme, compassionate Avalokiteśvara, white like a mass of a hundred thousand autumn moons, with a body radiating extremely white light in all directions. With one face, a peaceful, smiling countenance. With two hands, the right hand showing the mudra of supreme generosity in front, the left hand showing the mudra of refuge, holding the stem of a white lotus near the left side of the body. The lower body is clad in a fine silk skirt, and the upper body is covered with a garment of new silk brocade, with a deerskin covering the breasts. Adorned with various ornaments such as a jeweled crown, necklace, bracelets, and belt. Standing with both feet in a standing posture. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Amitabha, the Lord of the Lotus family, manifests in the form of a Nirmanakaya (emanation body), becoming the self-nature of the primordial Buddha in union. Visualize the seed syllable 'Hrih (藏文:ཧྲཱིཿ,梵文天城体:ह्रीः,梵文罗马拟音:hrīḥ,汉语字面意思:Seed Syllable)' on a lotus and moon disc at his heart, surrounded by the six-syllable mantra rotating clockwise. Then, recite the six-syllable mantra as much as possible, and offer with 'Argham' etc. up to 'Shapta'. Praise: 'Hrih (藏文:ཧྲཱིཿ,梵文天城体:ह्रीः,梵文罗马拟音:hrīḥ,汉语字面意思:Seed Syllable)! Whose essence is compassion, appearing as a white lotus. Appearing to beings according to what tames them. Glorious Lord of Potala, I praise you, Avalokiteshvara.' After that, bless the offering with the Sur offering ritual. Then: 'Ah (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:Seed Syllable)! Self-born from the beginning, spontaneously accomplished Lord of the Three Kayas. Although there is no going or staying in the nature of reality, appearing in accordance with the dispositions of beings to be tamed. Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and the assembly of noble ones, Vidyadharas, accomplished ones, powerful deities, and the objects of offering, and the six realms of beings appearing from their own karma, the poor beggars, intermediate state beings, non-humans, and various other beings, all are the objects of generosity, this is the play of illusion.' Namo! From 'Victorious Ones' etc. up to 'Invocation'. Recite the three syllables (Om Ah Hum) and the mantra of the Space Treasury, expanding the offerings three times. Then, the first group is offered to the Buddhas: Wondrous! The source of all excellent qualities, the self-nature of the Buddhas, the wisdom Dharmakaya, pervading all of Samsara and Nirvana. In the boundless realms equal to space, all the great displays of enjoyment Sambhogakaya Buddhas, such as Vairochana, and the countless emanations appearing in the ten directions and three times, each of which makes others aware of the good fortune corresponding to themselves, such as the thousand guiding Buddhas. The Buddhas and their teachings of scripture and realization, and the assembly of noble Sangha holding the Dharma, this is the infallible refuge, the skillful means of the Three Jewels. Such a mandala of the Three Kayas of Buddhas, etc., please bless with power. Recite the three syllables and the Space Treasury mantra as before. Then, the second group is offered to the Bodhisattvas: In the various pure lands of the ten directions, all the Bodhisattvas who are the sons of the Buddhas, whose lineage, aspiration, and activities are vast, characterized by great deeds that benefit beings. Although they constantly abide for the benefit of beings in the three realms, they are not affected by Samsara... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
