Homage and praise to the mothers! To Kalachakra (Dus kyi 'khor lo, Wheel of Time), Hevajra (dgyes pa rdo rje, Pleasing Vajra), Chakrasamvara ('khor lo sdom pa, Wheel Binding), Guhyasamaja (gsang ba 'dus pa, Secret Assembly), Black Enemy (dgra nag, Black Foe) Six-Faced (gdong drug, Six-Faced), Yamantaka (gshin rje gshed, Slayer of the Lord of Death), and so forth, homage and praise to the Yidam (yi dam, इष्टदेवता, iṣṭadevatā, Cherished Deity) deities! Supreme Teacher (ston pa bla med, Unexcelled Teacher), precious Buddha (sangs rgyas rin po che, Precious Buddha), supreme protector (skyob pa bla med, Unexcelled Protector), precious Dharma (dam chos rin po che, Precious Dharma), supreme guide ('dren pa bla med, Unexcelled Guide), precious Sangha (dge 'dun rin po che, Precious Sangha), homage and praise to the refuge of the Three Jewels (dkon mchog gsum, Three Jewels)! To all worthy of praise, praise with 'etc.' Fourth, Confession: Thus, by the great power of the compassion and profound activities of the lamas, yidams, buddhas, and bodhisattvas who are offered to and praised, may all the misdeeds, transgressions, sins, and obscurations accumulated by myself and limitless beings since beginningless time be purified and cleansed. At the end of the general confession of the Vajradhara Lama (bla ma rdo rje 'dzin ma, Vajra Holder Lama) and the confession of root downfalls, one should diligently recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra of Heruka (he ru ka, हेरुक, heruka, Blood Drinker). Then, finally, from 'Protector, I am ignorant and confused,' to 'Please bless and purify.' May I and others easily and completely perfect the vast accumulation of merit and wisdom. May the sacred field of accumulation in front transform into a mass of light, dissolve into oneself, and may the three doors become inseparable from the body, speech, and mind, thus purifying the two obscurations and perfecting the two accumulations, and quickly attain the state of unsurpassed enlightenment, becoming a guide to lead all beings. Fifth, Dedication: By whatever virtue I have practiced in the three times, may all sentient beings, as limitless as the sky, become vessels of the supreme Vajrayana, and may all quickly attain the state of Vajradhara! Until that state is attained, may they be born into noble families, possess vows, rely on the unerring king of secret mantras, respect the guru (bla ma, गुरु, guru, teacher), possess loving-kindness, abide by the vows of mantra, always hold the vajra and bell (rdo rje dril bu, vajra and bell), desire the profound and vast Dharma, hold all vows, and have the good fortune to practice the two stages. May they, in all circumstances, be free from external, internal, and secret obstacles, have all the conducive conditions for practice, and perfectly complete the true path. Furthermore, if one is willing and able, one may recite the complete or abbreviated 'Ocean of Conquerors' Aspiration Prayer (smon lam rgyal ba rgya mtsho), and at the end of the important mantra aspiration prayer, recite 'By this effort of virtue,' etc., and 'By this virtue, may the sudden stains,' etc., and finally conclude with any dedication and aspiration prayer appropriate to the secret mantra. This is the common practice of Kalachakra. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
