《Collected Teachings of Ngawang Lodro Drakpa JNLD128》: Titled 'A Concise Torma Ritual of Three Portions Suitable for Common Use in Yoga Tantra and Kriya Tantra and Above'. 《A Concise Torma Ritual of Three Portions Suitable for Common Use in Yoga Tantra and Kriya Tantra and Above》. 《A Concise Torma Ritual of Three Portions Suitable for Common Use in Yoga Tantra and Kriya Tantra and Above》. Om Svasti! Regarding the practice known as the Three Portions of Torma, the order of the ritual is divided into elaborate, medium, and concise. According to the classification of tantras, there are two methods: Kriya and Yoga Tantra. Dividing three into two results in six fundamental distinctions in the teachings of all tantric texts. The practices of the early Tibetans were infinitely diverse. Among these, here is a concise method according to the Yoga Tantra: 'Rice, barley, and sesame, rice flour and dried fruits, bean flour, honey, and sesame cakes, and all kinds of edible things.' As stated in the text, for the offerings, the first and second tormas are conical white food offerings. The third, the obstacle torma (བགེགས་གཏོར།, obstacle offering), has a radish in the center, with fried dough rings and a liquor jug on either side. Alternatively, it can be made with a fried dough ring with a hook and a liquor jug, decorated with meat, wine, radish, etc. Remaining in the pride of oneself as the deity, perform the torma ritual, without distinction between peaceful and wrathful. If you can prepare the five sensory offerings, including water for washing, arrange three sets. If you cannot prepare that much, arrange one set and gradually add to it, finally pouring it into the container for the obstacle torma. If it is very concise, then visualize all the offerings as transformations. However, unless you have gained stable conviction in the visualization, you must actually arrange the water and other offerings. If you want to perform the blessing of the offerings in detail, you can do it separately. If you want to be concise, it is sufficient to visualize it together with the blessing of the torma. First, the torma for the directional guardians: make the vajra yaksha mudra and recite: Oṃ Vajra Yakṣa Hūṃ (ༀ་བཛྲ་ཡཀྵ་ཧཱུཾ།, oṃ vajra yaksha hūṃ, Om Vajra Yaksha Hum, Vajra Yaksha Hum). Make the vajra fire mudra and recite: Oṃ Vajra Jvāla Anala Hana Daha Paca Matha Bhañjāraṇa Hūṃ Phaṭ (ༀ་བཛྲ་ཛྭ་ལ་ཨ་ན་ལཱ་ཧ་ན་ད་ཧ་པ་ཙ་མ་ཐ་བྷཉྫཱ་ར་ཎ་ཧཱུཾ་ཕཊ།, oṃ vajra jvāla anala hana daha paca matha bhañjāraṇa hūṃ phaṭ, Om Vajra Jvala Anala Hana Daha Paca Matha Bhanjarana Hum Phat, Vajra Fire Burn). Bless with the vajra binding mudra, reciting: Oṃ Ā Kāro Mukhaṃ Sarva Dharmāṇaṃ Ādyanutpannatvāt (ༀ་ཨ་ཀཱ་རོ་མུ་ཁཾ་སརྦ་དྷརྨཱ་ཎཾ་ཨ་དྱ་ནུཏྤནྣ་ཏྭཏ།, oṃ ākāro mukhaṃ sarva dharmāṇaṃ ādyanutpannatvāt, Om A Karo Mukham Sarva Dharmanam Adyanutpannatvat, All dharmas are primordially unborn). Alternatively, you can bless by reciting: Oṃ Amṛte Hūṃ Phaṭ (ༀ་ཨ་མྲྀ་ཏེ་ཧཱུཾ་ཕཊ།, oṃ amṛte hūṃ phaṭ, Om Amrite Hum Phat, Nectar Hum Phat), and the Svabhāva (स्वभाव, svabhāva, Self-nature mantra), and Ā Kāro (अकारो, ākāro, A-character mantra) mantras. This latter method is suitable for Kriya and Charya mandalas, as well as higher tantras such as Yoga Tantra. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
