《A Clear Exposition That Delights the Learned》 Homage to glorious Kalachakra! You pervade all that is stable and moving, spontaneously accomplished without artifice, the wisdom of unchanging great bliss, possessing all supreme aspects, the protector of existence and peace, the primordial Buddha, glorious Kalachakra, to you I bow. In the center of the utterly clear ocean of milk, upon a fully blossomed lotus of a thousand utterly clear petals, to the supreme deity like an utterly clear white moon, I offer homage with an utterly clear mind and joy. Through repeated study, the mandala of wisdom expands, in the sky of the four tantras, unimpeded movement, with rays of good exposition, illuminating the teachings of the Sage, may the glorious Lama, the Sun of Dharma, prevail! Having thus made praise beforehand, our root Lama, taking the dust of the feet of the unequaled uncle Dharma Lord upon my head, and tasting the nectar of his speech, not confused about the ways of Kalachakra, learned and accomplished, the well-spoken garland of moons of Delightful Shakya Wangchuk, those that are immersed in the lotus of our minds, not forgetting, I have written down. Here, to explain the ultimate of calculation, this treatise called 'A Delight for the Learned' is presented, with two parts: a summary and an explanation. Summary: Constants, houses, the work of constellations, daily addition and subtraction rituals, application to the tantra, and the method of elemental aggregation, this is a summary accurately compiled. Explanation of the Meaning: There are two parts: a summary and a detailed explanation. First, 'Constants,' etc., the first chapter explains the manner of the constant enjoyment of the planets. 'Houses,' etc., the second chapter explains the slow and accurate work of the planets in the houses. 'The work of constellations,' etc., the third chapter explains the swift and accurate work of the constellations. 'Daily addition and subtraction,' etc., the fourth chapter explains how to add and subtract the enjoyment of the feet upon the constant enjoyment. 'Application to the tantra,' etc., the fifth chapter explains the reasons for the five aggregates, Rahu's calculations, etc., applying them to the tantra. 'Elemental aggregation,' etc., the sixth chapter establishes the manner in which the planets enter emptiness at the end of the four great times and are born again from emptiness. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the general discussion, there are six chapters of detailed explanation, this is the first chapter: The Chapter on Constant Enjoyment. Second, there are six chapters of detailed explanation, this is the first chapter, including: summary verses, explanation of its meaning, and refuting arguments in three parts. Summary Verses The first part is: The basis of enjoyment, sun, moon, time, five planets, Rahu and smoke, Constant enjoyment is summarized here. The explanation of its meaning is divided into seven parts, the first part is the basis of enjoyment. The second part has seven aspects, the first aspect is the basis of enjoyment, including: the basis of what is to be enjoyed, the incidental enjoyer, and the way of enjoyment. First: the twenty-seven constellations, each constellation has sixty local times, therefore, sixty local times multiplied by twenty-seven constellations, yields one thousand six hundred and twenty constellation times. This is the basis for the enjoyment of the stars. The Root Tantra says: 'Whatever is transformed by a day's constellation, (Tibetan: ཉིན་གཅིག་རྒྱུ་སྐར་གྱིས་བསྒྱུར་གང་། ) So are the sixty times. (Tibetan: ཆུ་ཚོད་དྲུག་ཅུས་དེ་བཞིན་ཏེ། )' It also says: 'Mars and other enjoyments, (Tibetan: མིག་དམར་ལ་སོགས་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་རྣམས། ) are all accomplished by their respective movements. (Tibetan: རང་རང་རྒྱུ་བ་ལས་རབ་གྲུབ། )' The hour of time is dividing a day into sixty parts, one of which is called an hour. Such an hour is divided into sixty water drops, and one water drop is divided into six breaths. Local time refers to dividing the area of each constellation into sixty parts, one of which is. This is not a strict hour, because it is not time. Second, the seven weekday stars, Rahu, comets, and long-tailed stars are ten in total, In general, they can be summarized into two types: peaceful and fierce, namely five peaceful stars and five fierce stars. Third, the head and tail stars of Rahu enjoy the constellations clockwise, other stars enjoy them counterclockwise. Second, regarding the constant enjoyment of the sun, it is divided into: the solar zodiac day, the seasonal day, and the constant enjoyment of the day and night day in three types. First, regarding the zodiac day, it is divided into: the method of dividing the wheel, and the constant enjoyment of the division result in two types. First: the time for the sun to fully enjoy the twenty-seven constellations is one year, which includes twelve zodiac months such as Aries. Each zodiac has thirty zodiac days, so there are three hundred and sixty zodiac days in a year. The Root Tantra says: 'One year sky time multiplied by three. (Tibetan: ལོ་གཅིག་མཁའ་དུས་མེས་བསྒྱུར་ཏེ་)' Second, the constant of division results --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
