English

Above is a three-tiered dark blue stack, topped with four yellow round Tormas (Torma, offering), the finial is a five-pronged Vajra (Vajra, diamond scepter, dorje, a symbolic tool). The dancer (Gar Mkhan, a deity) is dark green, with a round Torma placed on top of two round tiers, shaped like a green wish-fulfilling jewel (Norbu, jewel), the finial is a golden plate filled with jewels. The dancer is dark red, the Torma is the same as above, painted dark red, the finial is the same as above. The arrogant one (Dregs Byed, a deity) rides a lion, the Torma is house-shaped, painted in a matte color, with eight round Tormas around the edge. The finial is a stick adorned with a Vajra and a five-pronged banner. The arrogant one does not ride, there is a black triangle, the finial is the same as above. The secret flesh-eater (Yang Sang Srin Po, a deity) is surrounded by four Rakshasas (Srin Po, Rakshasa), the base is square, about three fingers high, with a black triangle on top, the finial is a sword. Surrounded by four demonesses (Dud Mo, demoness), it is black in the shape of a wish-fulfilling jewel, the finial is a sword. For the practice like a mother goddess (Ma Mo, female deity), there is a three-tiered stacked house shape, which is dark red, the finial is a sword. The four-armed red spear (Dung Mar, a deity), the top of the house shape has a red triangle, the finial is a red spear. Another form of the red spear, the Torma remains as it is. For the practice like Yama (Gshin rje, the god of death), it is red in the shape of a wish-fulfilling jewel, the finial is a red spear. The green field mother (Ljang Yul Ma, a deity) remains yellow. The one holding a green and yellow stick (Ljang Ser Be Con Can, a deity), Mount Meru (Ri Rab, Mount Meru) is green, with four tiers, the center of the top is a five-pronged Vajra, half yellow. On the right is an umbrella, on the left is a victory banner. If the Torma offering or the offering Torma is abundant, there are eleven round Tormas. If simplified, there are two. To fulfill, if the offering Torma is arranged elaborately, it is like establishing a Torma. If not, stack three layers of house shapes on the yellow Torma, surrounded by eight small houses. For the fifteen lineages (Rigs Can, lineages) of deities, build a matte wish-fulfilling jewel shape, so that the offering Torma will not have any deficiencies or excesses. Now, in the current practice, when offering Tormas, the number of round Tormas is large, and there are usually round Tormas and house shapes. However, the number of round Tormas is only up to nine, missing two. The house shape is yellow, which seems to be missing the fulfillment Torma of the fifteen lineages. However, in the writings of Je Tsongkhapa (Jamgon Amyes Zhabs, honorific title of Je Tsongkhapa), there is no detailed distinction between Torma offering and fulfillment, so these round Tormas seem to be universal. From now on, if done in this way, it will be very clean. For detailed examples of Tormas, according to the style of Khenpo Ngawang Chodrak, the writings of Je Tsongkhapa are sufficient. This treatise on the Torma of Vaishravana (Namsey, god of wealth) was written by Ngagwang Kunga Lodro of the Sakya school (Sakya Pa, Sakya school of Tibetan Buddhism). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
