Inside the tent, on the four-tiered Mount Meru (Sumeru, the central mountain in Buddhist cosmology), place the body of the Lord of the Planets (Gza' mcog); in the four directions, give each of the four sisters (sring mo bzhi) an offering (bshos bu); on the second tier, give offerings to the eight planets (gza' brgyad); in the spaces of the outer tier, place eight flesh-eating demons (ngar mi brgyad); on the outer third tier, give the twenty-eight constellations (rgyu skar nyer brgyad) twenty-eight heaps of grain ('brang rgyas nyer brgyad); on the outer fourth tier, place eight offerings, and various necessary offerings; various objects to be viewed, various silks, various grains, various meats, various jewels, and the best white foods and the best alcohol. Arrange on a white base, bless with the six-syllable mantra (sngags drug) and the six mudras (phyag drug), offer golden drink (gser skyems) to the local deities (yul lha), the earth-owner deities (gzhi bdag), and the eight classes of beings (sde brgyad), and declare the truth to the Lord of Hail (ser ba'i bdag po) as follows: ‘Kye! The Buddha (sangs rgyas, the Awakened One) is the chief of the two-legged, the supreme of truth; the nature of reality (chos nyid) is free from attachment, the supreme of truth; the Sangha (dge 'dun) gathers without acting, the supreme of truth; there is nothing that does not listen to the command of the Three Jewels (dkon mchog); Mount Meru exists without relying on the earth; the water of existence does not run short; the light of the sun pervades everywhere; not attached to food and drink; not afraid of the life of death; therefore, by the truth of the Three Jewels, from the highest peak of existence (srid pa'i rtse mo) down to the lowest hell realm (na rag dmya lkhams), may all sentient beings seen by the eyes of the noble ones be cared for as guests without a host; may the offerings, donations, tormas (gtor ma, offering cakes), and ransom offerings (yas bzang glud chen) be received as they are intended! Sarva Bighnan Shantiṃ Kuru Ye Svaha (sarba bignān śāntiṃ kuru yé svāhā, सर्व विघ्नान् शान्तिं कुरु ये स्वाहा, सर्व विघनन् शान्तिं कुरु ये स्वाहा, May all obstacles be pacified, accomplish peace!).’ ‘Kye! Great Terrifier ('jigs byed chen po), with fierce commands and ultimate vows; fierce planetary demon (gza' bdud chen po ma rungs pa); all-pervading Vishnu (khyab 'jug chen po kun du rgyu); emanation of the Great Terrifier; sound of musical instruments! One body with nine heads; no head and body, only eyes; upper body is human, lower body is a snake; body color is smoky, terrifying! Sound of musical instruments! The right hand holds a curved knife (shur mas) and a wheel ('khor lo), the left hand holds a makara lasso (chu srin zhags pa); arises from the southwest, enters the path from the west; follows the path of the moon, travels from the east; follows the path of the sun, travels from the west; when traveling at night, destroys the four directions; when traveling during the day, destroys the four corners; just by traveling in the sky, the whole world trembles with fear; the belly devours the sun and moon; all the winds flutter and shake; do not cause a great earthquake! Fierce Great Terrifier!
