NKL282 Teachings of Ngawang Kunga Lodro: How to Make Offerings to Jetsun Sakya's Lhari (Sacred Mountain) and Lhatso (Sacred Lake) - Men Gyalmo (Goddess) 7-11 How to Make Offerings to Jetsun Sakya's Lhari (Sacred Mountain) and Lhatso (Sacred Lake) - Men Gyalmo (Goddess) The method of offering to the two Men Gyalmo (Goddesses) residing in Samling Phuna, the Lhari (Sacred Mountain) and Lhatso (Sacred Lake) of Jetsun Sakya, is spontaneously accomplished as desired. Regarding this mountain, in most old documents it is written as 'Taktsher,' but according to my understanding, because it is the highest mountain in this region, the sunlight always shines on it at both sunrise and sunset, so I think it should be written as 'Taktsher,' and so I have written it that way in this offering ritual. Om Swasti! The method of offering together to Jetsun Sakya's Lhari (Sacred Mountain) and Lhatso (Sacred Lake), known as Taktsher Snow Mountain Goddess and Tso Men (Lake Goddess) Wish-Fulfilling Goddess, is as follows: Use pure tsampa (roasted barley flour), without mixing in red or other impure substances, and mix in twenty-five offerings, the three white substances, and various pure foods. Use a vessel that is not made of iron, poisonous wood, or birch, and make round tormas (offering cakes) with a lotus heart, one hundred and eight in number, one-third submerged in water, decorated with butter, and adorned with five-colored or white and yellow silks, and pile various foods such as fruits around them. Around them, place white offerings such as tsampa, rice, yogurt, and milk, as well as clean spring water and glacial water, in undamaged vessels such as porcelain bowls. 7-12 In front, place two water offerings and burn incense of various fragrant woods. Hang many flags, arrows, and so on. While maintaining cleanliness, prepare the bell, vajra, scattering vessel, cymbals, gongs, conch shell, and so on. Purify the offerings with Oṃ Amṛte Hūṃ Phaṭ (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཨ་མྲྀ་ཏེ་ཧཱུྃ་ཕཊ,梵文天城体:ओम् अमृते हुम् फट्,梵文罗马拟音:om amṛte hūṃ phaṭ,甘露 吽 啪), and cleanse with Svabhāva (藏文:སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ,梵文天城体:स्वभाव,梵文罗马拟音:svabhāva,自性). From emptiness, arising from the syllable Oṃ, bless them according to the methods in other rituals such as the Vajra Destroyer (ritual) composed by Je Konchok Lhundrup. Take refuge with the four-line verse, and the refuge prayers to the Guru and the Three Jewels, and generate bodhicitta (the mind of enlightenment) with the verses 'For the benefit of all sentient beings,' all according to the methods in other rituals. Practice the visualization and recitation of Pal Chakna Dorje (Vajrapani). Visualize yourself instantly as Vajrapani, and from the blue syllable Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,种子字) at your heart, rays of light emanate, and the Guru and Vajrapani are surrounded by Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and invite them with Oṃ Vajra Samājaḥ (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ས་མཱ་ཛཿ,梵文天城体:ओम् वज्र सम ज,梵文罗马拟音:om vajra samāja,嗡 班匝 萨玛匝), and recite Namo Guru Bhyaḥ (藏文:ན་མོ་གུ་རུ་བྷྱཿ,梵文天城体:नमो गुरुभ्य,梵文罗马拟音:namo gurubhya,顶礼上师) Namo Vajra Pani Sapar --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Homage to Ivara-bhyah. Offer with flowers etc. I take refuge in the Three Jewels. Like this, recite three times for confession. Meditate on the Four Immeasurables. Purify with emptiness. From emptiness, from 'pama' arises a lotus, and from 'a' arises a lunar disc, upon which is a blue 'Hūṃ' (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ) syllable, which transforms into a five-pronged vajra, marked at the center with 'Hūṃ' (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ). From it, light radiates, offering to the noble ones and benefiting sentient beings. The light retracts and completely transforms into oneself as Vajrapani (Phyag-na rdo-rje), with a blue body, one face, and two arms. The right hand holds a five-pronged vajra raised in the sky, and the left hand makes a threatening gesture at the heart. The right leg is bent, and the left leg is extended. The yellow hair is upright, and he has three red, round eyes. He bares his fangs and curls his tongue. He wears a blue silk upper garment and a tiger skin lower garment. He is adorned with the eight great nagas. He dwells in the midst of the fire of wisdom. On his forehead is a white 'Oṃ' (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओं,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:Oṃ), on his throat is a red 'Āḥ' (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:Āḥ), and on his heart is a blue 'Hūṃ' (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ). From there, light radiates, and from the northern Malaya Mountain, Vajrapani is invited, surrounded by the assembly of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Offer as before. Recite 'Jaḥ Hūṃ Baṃ Hoḥ' (ཛཿཧཱུྃ་བཾ་ཧོཿ). Visualize merging into oneself. Again, from the 'Hūṃ' (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ) syllable, light radiates, and all the empowerment deities, the Tathagatas, are invited. Offer as before. They recite 'Oṃ Vajrapāṇi Abhiṣiñca Māṃ' (ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་པཱ་ཎི་ཨ་བྷི་ཥིཉྩ་མཾ།), bestowing empowerment, purifying the sins and obscurations of body, speech, and mind. The remaining water rises upwards, and Akshobhya adorns the head. In one's own heart, on the moon, the mantra garland circles the syllable 'Hūṃ' (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ), from which light radiates, offering to the noble ones and subduing all the malevolent ones. All the compassion and blessings of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are invited in the form of light and merge into oneself. Recite 'Oṃ Nīlambaradhara Vajrapāṇi Hūṃ Hūṃ Phaṭ' (ཨོཾ་ནཱི་ལཾ་བ་ར་རྡ་ར་བཛྲ་པཱ་ཎི་ཧཱུྃ་ཧཱུྃ་ཕཊཿ) as much as possible. Finally, before 'Oṃ Vajrapāṇi' (ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་པཱ་ཎི་), offer with 'Oṃ Vajrapuṣpe Āḥ Hūṃ' (ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་པུཥྤེ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ་) and so on, up to the music offering. Victorious Vajrapani, In the Malaya palace, Taming the malevolent ones, Homage and praise to the blue-clad one. Praise with these verses. I beseech the Victorious One, Vajrapani, to grant me and all sentient beings all the supreme and common attainments without exception. Again, the offering blessing is as before, but Dharmarani etc. are not needed. Purify the Torma and offerings etc. with Amrita, purify with Svabhava. From emptiness, from 'bhrum' arises... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
