《Permission to Erect a Banner for the Armor-Clad Protector of the Doctrine, Called 'Blazing Glory of the Three Realms'》 Homage to the Lama and Padma Heruka! Herein lies the method for erecting a banner relying on the Armor-Clad Protector of the Doctrine (Tibetan: བསེ་ཁྲབ་ཅན།, meaning 'clad in armor,' referring to a type of armor): Take a round piece of wood, not pine or willow, of any suitable length, and dye it red with vermillion or lac, as well as poison and blood. Forge the iron from the slain of humans, horses, and dogs into a trident or a double-edged sword, making the base hollow and the tip with flame patterns. Then take the tail of a yak or wild yak, or any fruit-bearing animal, of any color, red or white. When using red and white tails, it is more effective if a pure black tail is not available. Red corresponds to the protector's own color, but for achieving results, use black, as these banners are mostly in the guise of demons. On a cross-shaped wooden frame, etc., draw the deity emerging from below the body on a shroud with a knife and blood. The condensed mantra is: Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Devanagari: ओम्, Romanized Sanskrit: om, Literal meaning: perfection), Ah (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Devanagari: आः, Romanized Sanskrit: āḥ, Literal meaning: arising), Hrih (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Literal meaning: great compassion), Maha Raja Hum (Tibetan: མ་ཧཱ་རཱ་ཛ་ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: महाराज हूं, Romanized Sanskrit: mahārāja hūṃ, Literal meaning: great king Hum). May the Armor-Clad Protector and retinue remain steadfast on this banner, protect the Buddha's teachings, etc. Add prayers according to your wishes, wrap it around the top of the flagpole, bind it with colored threads on the outside, and apply lacquer. Meaning: Write 'Hrih (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Literal meaning: great compassion)' on the surface of a mirror with a knife, blood, and vermillion. For the objects of merit, place twenty-five sacred substances and other precious items in a silk bag. For the objects of activity, take a hand-span high piece of hardwood, write the above mantra and prayers in a row, and hang a nine-eyed plaque made of iron and armor, fragments of tiger skin and various silks, conch shells, bells, mirrors, human heads, hands, hearts, etc. Erect such a banner above the shrine or protector's hall, spread various grains on a well-prepared altar in front of the banner, place a large triangular torma made of blood wine, nectar pills, and tsampa in a beautiful vessel, facing eight directions, with a small triangular torma on each side in front, surrounded by one hundred and eight fingernail tormas, decorated with meat and butter, and insert red arrows. Place two portions of water and the usual offerings beside it, place nine pieces of meat and butter on the right side in front, and clean distillates, and on the left side... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Place the torma (sacrificial cake) and blood, along with three offering vessels, in front. Prepare all necessary items for the practice, such as the vajra bell, without omission. First, perform the self-generation as Hayagriva (Horse-Necked One) or any chosen Yidam (personal deity), along with the vase practice, and then purify with nectar. Offer the torma and purify. From emptiness, from the syllable A arises a vast and expansive skull-cup (kapala) of wisdom, within which is an ocean of flesh and blood for subduing enemies and obstacles, formed from the melting of Oṃ (oṃ, Om, perfection), Āḥ (āḥ, Ah, arising), and Hūṃ (hūṃ, Hum, subjugation). This transforms into the nature of flawless nectar, along with a mountain of bones. Recite Oṃ (oṃ, Om, perfection), Āḥ (āḥ, Ah, arising), Hūṃ (hūṃ, Hum, subjugation), Hā (hā, Ha, joy), Ho (ho, Ho, laughter), Hrīḥ (hrīḥ, Hrih, compassion) and other mantras as much as possible, accompanied by mudras (hand gestures). Purify the skull-cup. From emptiness, from the red syllable Hrīḥ (hrīḥ, Hrih, compassion), rays of light emanate, utterly destroying and gathering all cruel enemies and obstacles, completely transforming into Gonpo Besekrap, whose body is red like a mass of ruby, with one face, two arms, and three eyes, gazing with wrathful eyes in all directions. With a fierce expression and gnashing teeth, he instantly takes the life-breath of the harmful Rudra (Shiva). His right hand whirls a large sandalwood club over his head, summoning an army of hundreds of thousands of emanations. His left hand holds a variegated lasso at his heart, severing the life of those who oppose the Dharma. He wears a Besekrap helmet adorned with a red silk crest on his head, and a variegated Besekrap armor on his body. Underneath the armor, he wears a green silk upper garment and a red silk cloak. He wields a sword that severs the heart veins of the wicked, and a wheel that protects the great Dharma, filled with thunder and hail, swirling to the right. With the speed of wind, he instantly circles the three thousand worlds, riding a magnificent reddish-brown horse, and leading a white-browed sea-horse. He resides amidst blazing flames. To his right is the emanation of his body, the four-cornered Naga Ne'u, dark blue in color, wearing a nine-layered black cloak, with a dark blue silk turban tied on his head, holding a black snake lasso in his hand, riding a black horse, and manifesting hundreds of thousands of snake emanations. To his left is the emanation of his speech, Besekrap, red-black in color, wearing a large red cloth cloak, holding a red Tsen lasso in his right hand, and a red banner in his left hand, riding a red Tsen horse, and manifesting hundreds of thousands of red monkey emanations. In front of him is the emanation of his mind, the guardian deity of the upper realms, white in color, wearing precious white silk. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
