Regarding this (ritual): In the esteemed Sakya Great Monastery, there has been a tradition among the previous masters of performing the Gonpo (Mahakala, Tibetan: མགོན་པོ།) Torchen (large ritual, Tibetan: གཏོར་ཆེན།) ceremony. However, due to the difficulty in identifying the foundational and practical practices of those responsible for the Tor (offering cake, Tibetan: ཟོར།), in the Wood Dragon year, Bentsangpa Peljor Yarphel (Tibetan: བན་ཚང་པ་དཔལ་འབྱོར་ཡར་འཕེལ།) took over the Tor ceremony and urged me to write an easily understandable and readable method of practice. Firstly, due to the conflict with the Rakshasa woman (Tibetan: སྲིན་མོ།), the family was known as 'Khon' (Tibetan: འཁོན།), i.e., the Khon lineage (Tibetan: འཁོན་གདུང་།). Eventually, the name 'Sakyapa' (Tibetan: ས་སྐྱ་པ།) spread throughout the three realms. I, Ngawang Kunga Lodro Sangye Tenpai Gyaltsen Palsangpo (Tibetan: ངག་དབང་ཀུན་དགའ་བློ་གྲོས་སངས་རྒྱས་བསྟན་པའི་རྒྱལ་མཚན་དཔལ་བཟང་པོ།), although born into a sacred family, lack merit. I based this on the 'Swift Accomplishment Method' (Tibetan: སྒྲུབ་ཐབས་འཕྲིན་ལས་མྱུར་མགྱོགས་མ།) composed by Vajradhara (Tibetan: རྡོ་རྗེ་འཆང་།) Charchen Chökyi Gyalpo (Tibetan: ཚར་ཆེན་ཆོས་ཀྱི་རྒྱལ་པོ།), supplementing unclear points from the oral tradition of the gurus and reliable documents. Regarding some doubts therein, I consulted Je Lama Lekpai Jungne (Tibetan: རྗེ་བླ་མ་ལེགས་པའི་འབྱུང་གནས།), who prophesied that I should write a clear ear-whispered lineage, including common and special practices. Therefore, I wrote this in the Puntsok Chime Dorje Gurkhang (Tibetan: ཕུན་ཚོགས་འཆི་མེད་རྡོ་རྗེའི་གུར་ཁང་།), the auspicious Immortal Vajra Tent, above the great Labrang (Tibetan: བླ་བྲང་།) of the esteemed Sakya Monastery, the Vajra Seat (Tibetan: རྡོ་རྗེ་གདན།) of Tibet. If there are any errors in it, I confess before the gurus and the protector Black Cloak Vajra (Tibetan: ཞིང་སྐྱོང་ནག་པོ་ཆེན་པོ།) all the sins accumulated from beginningless time. May this merit protect the doctrine in general, and especially the precious Sakya teachings, from enemies with wrong views and broken vows, and may Black Cloak Vajra swiftly destroy those who undermine the doctrine with gentle means, without delay. This method should not be given to those who are not meant to receive it, This text should not be easily shown to others. It should be contemplated as deeply as the words of Hāri, And must be kept in a state of utmost secrecy. Guhya Samaya (Tibetan: གུ་ཧྱ་ས་མཱ་ཡ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: गुह्य समाया, Sanskrit Romanization: guhya samaya, Chinese literal meaning: Secret Vow). This was quickly written by Dari Dra Sonam Özer (Tibetan: དྭ་རི་དྲ་བསོད་ནམས་འོད་ཟེར་) in Kālyavardhana (Tibetan: ཀཱ་ལྱ་ཝརྡྷནྡུ།).
