As well. The nature of mind, mind itself, the realm being pure by its very nature, the ultimate reality are all of one meaning." "The mind also, with the distinction of the three realms, has three states: non-conceptual one-pointedness, mere clarity, and conceptual. These phenomena of samsara, which appear as illusions due to habits relying on the mind, are untrue, deceptive, enticing to children, false, empty, meaningless, like water bubbles, banana trees, illusions, and mirages, and are shown with eight examples. Like rari, alala, appearing as non-existent, being without self-nature from the moment of appearance, unbearable to mental analysis, appearing merely in the face of conventional delusion like the appearance of eating Dhatura. In the meantime, it should be known that it appears through the power of clinging to the apprehended and the apprehender as true. The essence of luminosity is the ultimate truth, permanence, stability, immutability, perfect peace, non-deception, the basis as it is from beginninglessness to end, the nature of wisdom, free from all extremes of elaboration, and the nature of equality that is undefiled, unsoiled, and unpolluted by the defilements of all phenomena of mind and mental events, like a sun disc without obscurations. The second meaning is to practice the path. Having realized that the essence of the Buddha is within oneself, one meditates in that state. One cultivates bodhicitta according to the system of the pāramitās and meditates. On top of that, one ripens it with empowerment through mantra and liberates it with instructions." "Here, the way to practice as one entity is in accordance with the sutras. One sits comfortably on a cushion and takes refuge and generates bodhicitta. After visualizing the deity in whom one has faith in an instant, one abides in the state of relaxed, easy, and free awareness, which does not conceptualize anything, does not grasp anything, and does not grasp the appearance of objects with the mind, with the seven aspects of Vairochana. This is to abide in the meaning of luminosity. As the noble Nagarjuna said in the Treasury of the Unborn Jewel of the Middle Way: 'Do not conceptualize anything, do not grasp anything. Do not fabricate, let it be relaxed in its own nature. That which is unfabricated is the treasury of the unborn jewel. It is the path of all the Buddhas of the three times.' As the Heruka Galpo says: It is inconceivable, that mind itself is like space.

Ache! The nature of mind is like space, free from all thoughts. The inconceivable nature of mind is space, space has no object of focus, and there is no object of focus. (Thus it is said). At that time, all mind and mental events cease, and one abides in the nature of self-awareness of non-conceptual wisdom. The scripture says: Speech, thought, and expression are all extinguished, the Prajnaparamita. Unborn, unceasing, the nature of space, the realm of self-aware wisdom. I prostrate to the mother of the Buddhas of the three times. (Thus it is said). The ultimate truth is beyond the realm of mind and intellect, and this is what it refers to. When the mind ceases and transcends the intellect, the wisdom that abides in itself is the nature of reality, as clear as the sun shining through the clouds. Thus, in equipoise, like separating the essence from the dross, when the sky is without clouds, one sits facing away from the sun. By looking at the center or surface of the sky, awareness becomes clear and non-conceptual arises. At that time, because the mind ceases, external objects of appearance cannot be recognized, and internal consciousness cannot recognize objects either. Since both have no object of focus, there is no conceptualization of things and non-things. Thus, apart from those two, the third aggregate of grasping is also without an object of focus and is pacified. The Bodhisattvacharyavatara says: When things and non-things, do not stand before the mind, at that time, since there is no other aspect, the objectless is utterly pacified. Thus it is said. The Name Discourse says: Self-aware, unmoving. Thus it is said. Doha says: Water and lamp, abide in self-illuminating oneness. Thus it is said. Toktsepa says: Meditation with the mind is not meditation, not meditating is also not meditation. Transcending meditation and non-meditation, there is nothing in the mind, Mahamudra. Thus it is said. That is its meaning. At that time, the meaning of the cessation of mind is the manifestation of the body of awareness and wisdom, the cessation of mind is manifested by the body, which is one aspect of it. If it is a true samadhi, then it arises unmoving from the state of awareness, free from the alaya and the consciousness of the alaya, as well as the mind consciousness and all five sense consciousnesses. The Inconceivable Chapter of the Secret of the Heap of Jewels says: Free from all mind, intellect, and consciousness, and not abandoning the state of samadhi.
