Herein lies the chapter called "Encouraging Liberation." Om Swasti Siddham. This is the chapter called "Encouraging Liberation." Homage to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! The basis for the complete increase of the two accumulations and the expansion of qualities, the grove of enlightenment, adorned with flowers and fruits, the garden of liberation, peace, and freedom, homage to that source of benefit and happiness! Opening the eyes of compassion to limitless beings, the meaning of proclaiming the great drum of the well-spoken Dharma, today, as the Thus-Gone One taught, I will thoroughly explain the chapter called "Encouraging Liberation." Alas, friends, in the three realms of samsara, there is no happiness, tormented by a mass of suffering's fire. Like the wheel of a chariot, one following another, therefore, now seek a means of liberation! Having obtained the leisure and fortune of human existence, and at this time meeting with a true virtuous friend, if you do not ascend the ladder of liberation to the happy realms, it will be extremely difficult to obtain a body of leisure and fortune later. If you do not obtain a human body of leisure and fortune, only sin will manifestly increase, and you will not find an opportunity to practice virtue and Dharma. You will not even hear the sound of the holy Dharma. If you do not encounter the holy Dharma, you will go from lower to lower under the power of sin. If you do not escape from the state of the lower realms, while being tormented by the intense suffering of the past, and because of immeasurable future evil deeds, you will always wander in endless samsara. While wandering in the endless ocean of sin, the fierce waves of each one's karma will rage. From immeasurable depths of suffering, you must repeatedly endure until your karma is exhausted. The compassion of the Victorious Ones can hardly directly subdue the mass of fire of your own karmic delusions. Although countless Buddhas of the past have appeared, look, we are still wandering in existence. Therefore, now that you have obtained leisure and fortune, having contemplated the immeasurable suffering of samsara, from this very day, strive towards the garden of liberation, which is supremely peaceful. If you exert yourself in the profound Dharma this time, you will surely seize the thread of the path to liberation in this life. If you seize the path to liberation, you will go from happiness to happiness. The prosperity of enlightenment and well-being is in your hands. By the power of well-being, you will not fall into the lower realms, and you will be in the supreme happy realms and heavens.

去吧！去了那里就要努力行善， 享受增上生和决定胜的妙乐。 以善行在珍贵的解脱道上， 创造无与伦比、无边无际的胜者财富。 瞻仰善逝，聆听清净的妙法， 修净佛土，与殊胜的圣者僧团为伴。 在莲花等清净的世界里， 从莲花中化生，心清净无垢。 如莲花般美丽，具足众多功德， 得见莲花之光等胜者。 因此，具有智慧的人们， 从今天起就要分配精进的任务， 仅仅以善习于心， 就应百倍努力攀登解脱道。 今生若未寻得解脱道， 以后就难以遇到寂静之道。 若未能遇到寂静之道， 就无法从无尽轮回中解脱。 如今尚且不能忍受些微的寒热饥渴， 以及微小的疾病痛苦， 那么地狱、饿鬼、旁生等， 燃烧的痛苦之火又能忍受吗？ 因此，现在拥有自主的时候， 就要了解轮回的痛苦和解脱的利益， 以及取舍善恶、积累二资粮等， 日夜精进于善法。 即使获得了闲暇人身，若不修持佛法， 一生也将虚度，耗费在散乱的道路上。 百中难得一二的珍贵人身， 现在得到时，不要让它空耗。 此生的显现如同梦境中的财富， 醒来时空无一物，什么也没有。 当抛弃一切，独自离去时， 跟随的只有善恶二业。 亲友财富无论如何也带不走， 死亡之后，他们也不会跟随。 我亦将一去不返， 此生的所作所为对我又有何用？ 因此，对于世间虚幻的显现， 要断除贪执、破立、实执等一切， 从今天起就要精进于佛法， 不要让闲暇人身毫无意义地浪费。 现在若不修持利益， 以后又有什么安身之处呢？ 此生的财物如同蜜蜂的蜂蜜， 即使自己积攒，也多被他人享用。 亲友、熟人、客人、同伴等， 虽然聚集在一起，也终将分离。 生命无

Go! Having gone there, strive diligently in virtue, Experience the good feast of higher realms and definite goodness. With virtue, on the precious path of liberation, Create boundless, wondrous wealth of the Victorious Ones. Behold the Sugatas and listen intently to the pure Dharma, Purify the fields and associate with the supreme Sangha of noble ones. In the pure realms such as those with lotuses, Born from lotuses, with pure minds, without defilement. Beautiful like lotuses, possessing many qualities, You will see the Victorious Ones, such as the glory of lotuses. Therefore, beings endowed with intelligence, From this very day, allocate the task of diligence, Solely by habituating the mind to virtue, You should strive a hundredfold to ascend the path of liberation. If you do not find the path of liberation from existence now, It will be rare to encounter the path of peace later. If you do not encounter the path of peace, There is no way to escape from the realm of endless samsara. If you cannot endure even a little heat, cold, hunger, and thirst now, And the minor suffering of illness, Then can you endure the blazing fire of suffering Of hells, hungry ghosts, animals, and so forth? Therefore, now, while you have freedom, Understand the suffering of samsara and the benefits of liberation, And engage day and night in virtuous Dharma, Such as adopting virtue and abandoning evil, and accumulating the two accumulations. Even if you obtain leisure and endowment, if you do not practice Dharma, Your life will be wasted, spent on the path of distraction. This precious human body, rare as one in a hundred, Now that you have obtained it, do not let it be in vain. The appearances of this life are like wealth in a dream, Empty upon awakening, as if nothing exists. When you abandon everything and go alone, Only virtue and evil follow you. Relatives and wealth cannot be taken away, They do not go after death. Since I too will not return here, What use are the actions of this life to me? Therefore, in the illusory appearances of the world, Abandon all attachment, aversion, acceptance, rejection, and clinging to truth, From this very day, by striving in Dharma, Do not let leisure and endowment be wasted meaninglessly. If you do not accomplish benefit now, What assurance will you have of a place to stay later? The wealth of this life is like honey of bees, Even if you accumulate it yourself, others will enjoy it. Relatives, friends, guests, and companions, Although they gather together, they are likely to separate individually. Life is not
