༈ The Great Perfection, Equality of Self-Liberation, is the name. In Sanskrit: Mahasandhi Samakonama. In Tibetan: The Great Perfection, Equality of Self-Liberation, is the name. Homage to glorious Samantabhadra. All dharmas are equal, primordially enlightened, beyond expression and thought, in the expanse of vast space. Not abiding, not fixating, in the state of the Great Perfection, homage to the pure Bodhicitta. The Vajra Pinnacle is the vehicle of all, beyond cause and effect, free from abandoning and adopting, hope and fear. Whatever it is, it is all, without any fixed identity, therefore, listen to this meaning, free from limitations and partiality. Samsara and nirvana, primordially liberated, the realm of Akanishta. Unobstructed variety in the palace of primordial wisdom. The teacher of equality and completion, the unchanging nature of reality. For the vessels and essence, the six realms, the three kayas, and all beings. In the three times, timeless, the time of the complete and pure ground. Teaching the dharma without abandoning or striving. Although the outer and inner activities of dharma are immeasurable. The vehicle of the teachings is taught in nine aspects. These are the order of the nature of the senses. In the definitive meaning, all are like the sky. There is no vehicle, and there is no definite arising. There is no coming, no going, no abandoning, no friend, no attainment. All is the nature of reality, in the state of unchanging. As it appears, so it is without inherent existence. Cause and effect, names and concepts, outer and inner Bodhicitta. Primordially luminous, spontaneously accomplished, therefore. In self-arisen wisdom, without establishing or negating, without fixation. There is nothing to seek by striving outwardly or inwardly. Unfabricated, naturally abiding in the nature of reality. Release freely in whatever is comfortable, without change in the three times. This, as an object of fixation. Without refuting, establishing, abandoning, or adopting, leave it in its own place. Without abandoning afflictions, the five self-arisen wisdoms. Whatever arises is self-liberated, without abandoning or adopting. No need to abandon or transform, mind is enlightened, the Great Perfection. Primordially present, self-arisen, now spontaneously accomplished. Ordinary variety, spontaneously complete, the great mandala. Unmade, self-arisen, from the great palace. Form, feeling, perception, formation, consciousness. The five elements, earth, water, fire, wind, and space. The nature of the five objects, all phenomena are completely pure. No need to abandon or adopt, empty of remedies for transformation. All is of equal taste, in the state of the Great Perfection. Know that the ground is complete, primordially pure. Primordially empty.

The very nature of mind, devoid of roots, is the unmade, spontaneously accomplished Buddha, abiding equally in suchness as it is. It is without beginning or end, without prior or subsequent change. It is beyond calculation and unknowing, transcending all errors and obscurations. There is no ground to traverse, nor any path to have reached. To desire to cultivate or practice in that which is without essence is as futile as trying to adorn the sky. Self-arisen wisdom is free from all fabrication and error, like a stainless ocean of the moon. Purity and impurity are the great play of a single sphere. This is the profound innermost essence of the intent. The all-creating, vast dharmata is the essence of all, the realm of self-existing spontaneity. Its essence is clear, its compassion uninterrupted, spontaneously accomplished from the very beginning. From the nature of space, the single sphere of dharmata, not even an atom of other phenomena can be discerned. Therefore, the appearance of phenomena is emptiness, and in the miraculous display of dharmata, self-existing spontaneity arises as play. The environment and beings, existence and samsara, and even the Buddhas of the three times, are not seen as different from suchness. Since it is primordially unmade and naturally pure, there is no need for artificial effort; the intrinsic awareness is liberated. It needs no action and is beyond all causes and conditions. Its nature is neither other nor all, and it cannot be defined. Whatever is examined is merely temporary. If analyzed, it cannot be located, and for the sake of examination, its essence is emptiness. True or false is a matter of mind; beyond mind is the dharmakaya. Being beyond is not different; whatever arises is without grasping. In the nature of oneness, like space, many philosophical tenets of differentiated minds appear. The all-encompassing Dzogchen Bodhichitta, like space, is pervasive and enlightening, the great source of all phenomena. From the equal and complete play of all kinds of phenomena, happiness and suffering, high and low, are like illusions and reflections of the moon in water. Although they appear, they do not stain the true meaning. It is the nature of spontaneous perfection, without duality. However it may appear, it is not established as such. Therefore, in that which is without cause and effect, free from addition and subtraction, those of the Lesser Vehicle who rely on scriptures for virtue and vice will never encounter the true meaning. In the ultimate sense, it is unborn and primordially pure. When it appears, it is invisible, free from the elaboration of grasper and grasped. Since nothing else can ever be seen apart from that, by transcending cause and effect, there is no genuine seeing. If one still desires cause and effect as a condition, then this appear
