The Great Perfection, Self-Liberation of Dharmata. In the language of India: Mahasandhi Dharmadhatu Atma Kona Nama. In the Tibetan language: The Great Perfection, called Self-Liberation of Dharmata. Homage to glorious Samantabhadra. From the state of being unborn from the very beginning, luminous and equal. The very nature of mind, unwavering, ungrasping, vast. From the spontaneously accomplished three kayas, the great bliss Akanishta. Homage to the ground being complete, without change or movement. I and all beings, the very nature of mind is Buddha. Yet, due to the power of ignorance, we wander in the wilderness of existence. Wishing to be liberated from that, the path of the excellent chariot. Here, I will speak of the essential Dharma teachings of definitive meaning. Friends, in this beginningless and endless samsara. The various sufferings are like turbulent waves. Arising from the ignorance of clinging to self. Therefore, the antidote to that is to cherish the view of abiding in the true nature. Thus, all phenomena of appearance and existence, samsara and nirvana. Unborn from the very beginning, equal from the very start. Without establishment or refutation, without permanence or annihilation, without going or coming. Beyond extremes, non-dual, in the state of the dharmata, like the sky. Although various phenomena appear without mixing. From the very moment of appearance, their nature is free from elaboration. Not an external object, but the way mind appears. Not mind, nor a phenomenon arising from mind. Appearing as the five objects, like cataracts and strands of hair. Although non-existent, we are deluded by grasping at duality. Just as in a dream, a magical elephant. When we see an army surrounded by troops. If we fear, grasping it as other than ourselves. Is its nature other or mind? At that time, since neither inside nor outside is established. Those who know the nature, their fear is liberated in its own place. Likewise, when non-duality is grasped as dual. The unwise, grasping at it as true, are deluded in existence. The wise, knowing that dual appearance is non-dual. The nature of samsara is liberated as nirvana. Alas, this appearance is unborn from the very beginning. The various non-dualities are like reflections in a mirror. The nature of emptiness is not different from appearance. Like water and moisture, in a state of union, non-dual. Like an illusory, boundless, magical city. From the moment of birth, it is in the unborn, primordial state. Although it appears to abide, it does not abide, the dharmakaya. From the moment of cessation, it does not cease, without increase or decrease. As it appears, so it is not established. As it is examined, so it has no nature. Ya

In the state of Samantabhadra, instantly liberated, on all phenomena that lack a fundamental substance, there is no specific grasping of 'this,' no identification. Like the sky, there is no agent, empty of action. Whatever is, is all; whatever is 'this,' is without attachment. With sectarian clinging attached to acceptance, and even with numerous terms of view, meditation, and conduct, it is difficult to see the essential, innate meaning of mind. Even the Hearers, Solitary Realizers, Mind-Only, and Independent Madhyamaka schools, with their distinctions of the absence of self in persons and phenomena, cause the actual view and meditation to stray into the fourfold emptiness, etc., appearing to accomplish countless activities. In the practices of action, yoga, and unsurpassed yoga, even with the many transformations of the generation and completion stages of the tantric meaning, one is not close to the unmade, naturally abiding, spontaneously accomplished innate state, but is bound by the net of elaboration. 'Mind is Buddha,' with this view, meditation, and result, some obstruct consciousness and feeling, and some, severing the connection of the three times, say that present awareness is thorough and clear. Others count the arising and ceasing, stirring up waves of conceptualization with the meaning of the innate. Likewise, binding the winds, uniting the two with bliss and clarity, they are bound by grasping desire as the true meaning. Entangled in the net of alternating acceptance and rejection, the essential meaning is never seen. All of that is delusion by conceptually fabricated dharmas, so there is no opportunity for liberation in this existence. Alas, not knowing the examination of the great mountain, it seems like discarding the wish-fulfilling jewel and searching for binding objects. Abandoning the supreme innate nature of mind itself, one is bound in the snake pit of hope and fear of transformation. With an effortful mind, one will never be liberated. The meaning to be sought is obscured by making the seeker into the sought. Alas, if you desire the meaning of the nature of mind, what is the use of much thought and analysis? Whatever appears, that is it; what appears there is without grasping. Without grasping, without bias, there is no need for acceptance or rejection; do not manipulate or corrupt everything without attachment. If the appearance of objects and mind is the nature of emptiness, what is the need to view it as empty? If it is not, even if you look, it will not become empty, so what is the use of meaningless effort? Likewise, there is no need to meditate on the generation and completion stages of nature. However you grasp the dharmas of acceptance and rejection, it is all in vain. If that is truly there, there is no need to strive. If it is not, it is meaningless, like turning coal into gold.
