Homage to the glorious Samantabhadra. From the essence of the utterly pure, beyond conception, Arises the spontaneous, perfect radiance of the heart. To the mind, the nature of various characteristics, Purity of grasping and holding, free from limitations and partiality, I pay homage. From the very nature of all unborn and equal dharmas, Appearance and mind are primordially liberated, without grasping, vast and expansive. The wondrous king, the self-liberation of mind itself, As I have realized it, I will explain; listen! The view is utterly pure, without beginning or end, Indescribable as 'this,' without wide or narrow, high or low. Transcending permanence and annihilation, free from the defilement of the four extremes, Unfindable if sought, invisible if looked at. Free from sides and factions, beyond all conception, Without established limits, neither empty nor not empty. Realization and non-realization, without calculation or divination, Since all dharmas are primordially pure and enlightened, Unborn, unceasing, beyond speech, thought, and expression. Purity and impurity are the realm of self-existing purity, Everything is non-objective, the great equality of perfect completion. Without bondage or liberation, there is no going, coming, or abiding. All appearances and emptiness are conceptual constructs, the nature of grasping and holding is illusory. Samsara and nirvana, happiness and suffering, are like good and bad dreams. From the very moment of appearance, the nature is free from elaboration. From that arises the great interdependence of birth and cessation. Dreams, illusions, mirages, cities of gandharvas, Echoes, reflections—they are similar, without essence. Since all dharmas, such as birth, are unborn in nature, They never cease, and there is no change in the three times. From nowhere do they come, and nowhere do they go, Nowhere do they abide; they are like dreams and illusions. For the unskilled, this appearance, clung to as true, Is the clinging to self and mine in a permanent dharma, Like a young illusory girl who is destroyed by touch. Deceptive, untrue, yet acting as if meaningful in appearance. The abodes of the six realms and the buddhafields as well Are not aggregates of particles; they are merely the self-appearance of sentient beings' minds. Just as buddhas and sentient beings in dreams Appear as if truly real, yet their nature is immeasurable, When awakened, they are but a moment in the mind. Likewise, know all the dharmas of samsara and nirvana. There is no emptiness apart from the face of appearance, Like fire and the heat that is the nature of fire. Different inclinations are the mind's...

The division of the earth is such that water and the moon in water are indistinguishable, united in a pond as one." "Likewise, appearance and emptiness, the great nature of reality, are one." "This appearance, primordially unborn, is the Dharmakaya, like the image of stainless, naturally pure essence. Because of the delusion of mentally speculating about existence and non-existence, do not fixate on the meaning of whatever appears." "The field of appearance is also an image of the mind, like a face and its reflection in a mirror. Although non-dual, it appears as dual, which is the nature of beginningless habitual tendencies. Although mind and dreams are non-dual, dreams appear to one intoxicated by sleep. Know that the essence is without difference. Just as a young child sees a mirror, children engage in acceptance and rejection of external objects. Just as a mother sees and wipes the mirror, the causal vehicle transforms external objects. Just as a beautiful woman sees and adorns her face, likewise, one who knows this observes the inner nature of mind. This is the vehicle of insubstantial essence. Whatever mind is without essence yet diverse, arises inwardly due to external conditions, like images appearing in a mirror-like ocean. Essence is empty, yet its nature is unceasing. The magical display of diverse characteristics is the emanation of samsara and nirvana from the single nature of mind. Like transforming black and white cloth into crystal, the essence does not change; the plan arises from conditioned appearances. Although diverse appearances seem to change when they appear, in reality, they do not change, like a pure crystal ball. On the nature of mind, which is primordially empty and rootless, the phenomena of samsara and nirvana appear without contamination. In the state of Samantabhadra, which is timeless in the three times, on the fully established, unchanging essence, the appearances of the six objects do not contaminate, like the moon in water. On samsara and nirvana, which are like illusory emanations of existence and non-existence, do not engage in acceptance, rejection, hope, or doubt." "Liberation comes from knowing the nature of emanation. Although one may be seized by seeing an army of illusions, knowing the nature brings freedom from fear. There is no need to separately abandon the fields of appearance. The nature of samsara is the very essence of mind. Since it is primordially unborn, it is already in nirvana. Therefore, liberation comes from seeing the nature of existence as mind itself. At that time, there is no other peace to be attained. Rather than fearing others as one's own army, later understanding brings happiness again. Today, through the blessings of the glorious lama,
