May you always protect and become the basis for the sustenance of all beings! The well-spoken, virtuous, and supremely endowed liberation of Brahma is exceedingly clear. After countless Buddhas, regarding the profound meaning of the cause-and-effect vehicle. Riding on the vehicle of scripture, reasoning, and pith instructions, may it propel the tradition of the great chariot of definitive meaning. Whatever this is, it is the profound meaning, satisfying those with great wisdom. From the time of previous lives, through the white Dharma. Arising from wonderful accumulations of merit, possessing karmic connections. A virtuous disciple, a young Buddha. At his urging, I have composed this. In the center, well-surrounded by a range of snow mountains. The mountain relied upon by the noble Dharma kings of the past. In the supreme place of the self-arisen Lotus King (Padmasambhava). For the sake of future generations, I compose this beneficial Dharma. By that merit, may I and all beings enter the ship of luminous essence. Having completely crossed the ocean of obscurations, which is exceedingly difficult to traverse, in an instant. Reaching the island of the precious essence of the supremely wonderful state of Buddhahood. Completely dispelling all the downfalls of existence and peace, may we attain the qualities of perfect enlightenment! May all beings be completely liberated by my merit, without needing to strive. Without even a little effort, may they possess the complete wealth of the Buddhas. Thus, even without diligence, may they quickly cross the ocean of existence. Completely destroying samsara all at once, may the city of peace be filled! May this virtue, at all times and places. Make all realms of the world prosperous, like the heavenly realms. Merit is accomplished merely by thinking of it in the mind. May we grasp the excellent path to liberation! May no one see suffering or harm. May they be nourished by their own sacred happiness. May the heavenly realms, above the earth, and below the earth be filled. And finally, may we attain the state of Amitabha! May the affairs of all beings be accomplished in accordance with the Dharma. Completely free from improper thoughts. Following in the footsteps of the loving and noble Bodhisattvas. May we quickly be reborn at the feet of the loving protector (Maitreya)! May all my compositions be meaningful. For the sake of liberating countless beings from samsara. Without delaying for an instant, with boundless diligence. May we lead the three realms to the peaceful monastery! May all beings be happy with my happiness. May I take on the suffering of all beings. May all those beings

Until the exhaustion of space, may I be the guide who leads all beings! May I lead sentient beings from the island of samsara, which is without happiness and full of poisonous snakes, and from this place, which is like a great pit of fire, to a cool sandalwood forest, and may I dwell there by cultivating the lotus garden of the Buddha. May all beings who cling to impermanence, impurity, suffering, and selflessness with the four inverted views, incline to the state of kingship by my power, and may they completely perfect the accumulation of all qualities. May the place where bees fly among the flowers in the forest, and where peacocks call and shake their crests, be filled with the joy of peaceful contemplation, and may this body with life sway. May I find the nectar of liberation and enlightenment at the foot of the rocky mountains where there is clear water, many fruit-laden, cool shade, and where vines and medicinal herbs abound, having abandoned all thoughts alone. May the forest wind sway, the flowers and shade trees sway, and like the leaves, the wind, and the rain of divine substances falling, may the meditator achieve undistracted, luminous, and uncompounded samadhi with the joy of silent peace. May the forest where bees surround the lotus, and where flocks of birds sing sweetly, be a secluded and delightful place where other noises are nearly silenced, and where I do not see familiar and bustling crowds, but alone incline my mind to peace, and thus may I abide openly and make this life meaningful. Thus, by the well-spoken peaceful Dharma and the pure and vast aspiration, may the fruit of the accumulation of qualities of joy and happiness be as vast and clear as the great ocean, pervading the summit of existence. May the heavens, the earth, and the high realms be adorned, and may those in the lower realms be utterly emptied, so that they may go on the path of goodness, which is definitely superior, and may they achieve perfect and complete enlightenment. May this Dharma be as vast as the sky, pervading all, and fulfilling all wishes like a wish-fulfilling jewel. May it be like the earth, the support and sustenance of beings, like a great ship crossing the ocean of samsara, like an unparalleled helmsman. May it be like the rain of Dharma that alleviates suffering, like the water of nectar, like the Dharani cloud of the city of thought, like the pleasant sound of the drums of the gods. May it bring auspiciousness with fame, like the sun and moon that dispel the darkness of ignorance and bring the light of the island of liberation. The commentary called "Great Perfection Mind at Rest," called "The Great Chariot Treatise," was taken to heart by the great master Padmasambhava of Oddiyana (Udyana, modern Swat Valley, Pakistan) and was made for the vast teachings of the Sugatas.
