Herein lies the empowerment ritual of the extremely unelaborate Padma Netra. To the Guru, the embodiment of all Buddhas, I prostrate for the sake of accomplishment. I, myself, will now compose clearly the empowerment ritual of the extremely unelaborate mandala. This has two parts: the preliminary practice and the actual empowerment. First, all the masters and disciples should go to a secluded empty place, etc., and prepare the tsok, torma, golden mandala, etc. Having pleased the Guru and Dakinis, in order to show that there is no obscuration of knowledge, they should remove their clothes or just their upper garments. In order to purify the eight aggregates of consciousness in their places and to pacify obstacles, the armor is put on as follows: Those disciples should visualize the Guru's body as dark blue, extremely fearsome, with hair standing on end. Thinking of the teeth gnashing and the tongue rolling, visualize Lam (ལཾ་,lam,लँ,Earth), yellow, on the crown of the head; E (ཨེ་,e,ऐ,Fire), blue, on the forehead; Su (སུ་,su,सु,Happiness), yellow, on the secret place; Kham (ཁཾ་,kham,खं,Space), smoky, on the throat; Ha (ཧ་,ha,ह,Wind), white, on the two breasts; Ram (རཾ་,ram,रं,Fire), red, on the navel; and Yam (ཡཾ་,yam,यं,Wind), green, on the soles of the two feet. Visualize that a blue Hum (ཧཱུཾ་,hūṃ,हुं,Seed Syllable) radiates from the Guru's heart and enters the disciple's heart, transforming into Hum (ཧཱུཾ་,hūṃ,हुं,Seed Syllable). The Guru roars Haha (ཧ་,ha,ह,Wind) three times. All the disciples, with clear focus, take a torma each and go and give it to the local deities and dakinis, and instruct them, "I will practice in this place for three days, do not create obstacles." Thus instructed. First, the practice of the body is begun: Naked, playing the damaru and holding the khatvanga, with hair standing on end, stand up and run, bend over and walk, jump, dance, twist the body, squat, walk backwards, lie down, crawl, spin and dance, make mudras, shake limbs, shake head, clench teeth, bare fangs, walk with one leg and one foot planted, crawl like a worm, jump like a tigress, etc. At the end of all the bodily postures that come to mind, prostrate and circumambulate, make the gestures and mudras of the deities, and interrupt. At night, lie motionless in a comfortable bed, letting it settle. By doing this, the signs of experience of separating the body from the mind are that there is no attachment to the body.

Thinking of having no body, no heat or cold, no hunger or thirst, no fatigue, thinking of walking in the sky, and experiencing comfort and warmth, etc., will occur. Until such things occur, repeat the practice, and the body's channels will surely loosen by half. The purpose is to pacify obstacles of the body and purify obscurations. Liberation in the Nirmanakaya. The body of all Buddhas becomes inseparable and immutable Vajra. Then, the conduct of speech is to regard all one's sounds as the speech of the guru. The various expressions of speech are: the language of gods, beautiful songs and clear tonal letters, like cymbals, etc.; the language of nagas, like a lute; like the echo of a vase; the language of yakshas, like the collapse of a rocky mountain; the language of kinnaras, like a harp and the sound of clouds; the language of rakshasas, such as ra la ra la ri li ri li, etc., like the thunder of hail clouds; the language of asuras, like the sound of peaceful thunder; the language of hell beings, uttering cries of hot and cold suffering; the groaning of hungry ghosts due to hunger and thirst; the weeping of animals in sorrow; the natural sounds of human birth, aging, sickness, and death; and also express all the forms of sound that are known. The sounds of horses, cows, sheep, goats, donkeys, jackals, tigers, leopards, vultures, owls, crows, magpies, dogs, foxes, etc., and in between the expressions, recite many times ཕཊཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Chinese literal meaning: ཕཊཿ,फट्,phaṭ,发吒). Sounds such as ha, hūṃ, and oṃ become dharma sounds, and finally, conclude with the sound of teaching the Dharma. By sleeping at night in a state of not speaking anything, the channels of speech will loosen by half. Moreover, Sanskrit language will arise spontaneously, many dharmas that were previously unknown will arise spontaneously, beautiful melodies, etc., will occur, one will not desire to speak, and supreme bliss and inexpressible meanings, etc., will come. Repeat the practice until these occur. The purpose is to pacify obstacles of speech, purify obscurations, liberate in the Sambhogakaya, and become inseparable from the essence of speech Vajra. Then, the conduct of mind is to regard all the various thoughts that arise in one's mind as the mind of the guru, the happiness and suffering of each of the six realms, the nature of samsara and nirvana, the Dharma.
