Since there is nothing to fixate on, there is no regret. Since dualistic grasping is destroyed, there is no doubt. Abide in the intention of the great spontaneously accomplished nature, in the indivisibility of the three kayas. At that time, the empty sky is the cavity of the spontaneously accomplished precious one, and the appearance of the five lights is the mandala of the five inner clear wisdoms. By looking at that, the mind does not fixate on anything inside or outside, and knowing the clarity is spontaneously accomplished as great inner clear compassion. At that time, it merges without becoming dull, is clear without grasping, is thus without self, is distinct without being mixed, and is not separated. At that time, three samadhis arise: by remaining in the posture of looking, all the elaborations of grasping and being grasped are pacified, and by abiding as appropriate in the state of emptiness and clarity, it is the samadhi of abiding. By becoming accustomed to that, during long meditation, the mind of grasping and being grasped does not waver and is not distracted, it is the unwavering samadhi. By becoming thoroughly accustomed to that, at all times, the awareness abides as during meditation, it is the spontaneously accomplished samadhi. By practicing in this way now, later there is no doubt that you will recognize your own face in the appearance of the spontaneously accomplished precious one. This is an important key point. Secondly, the intention of the union of light spheres, the intention of the spontaneously accomplished five kayas, the intention of primordial purity and the exhaustion of phenomena, there are three ways to practice with examples. The first is, in the space of blue light, the four, white, yellow, red, and green, swirl, and the patterns of each of the white, yellow, red, and green swirling in the space are spread on the surface of the sun. By looking at the mirror from the direction of night, when the five appearances gradually appear in the sky, knowing that it is the appearance of the five lights of the first bardo, in self-appearance, rest evenly in the state of clarity, emptiness, and freedom from elaboration. By becoming accustomed to that, one is liberated into the appearance of clear light and compassion. This is an important key point. The second is, the mandala of the clusters of the five families is spread out gradually as before, and by looking at it, one is liberated into the appearance of the youthful vase body during the five days of meditation. This is an important key point. The third is, when the planets and stars spontaneously appear on a cloudless night, by looking at it in any way you like, wisdom that is empty, clear, and free from elaboration arises from the place of looking. Also, the completely pure sky symbolizes the primordial purity of the cavity of the spontaneously accomplished precious one, and the planets and stars appear as clear light.

The reason is: the appearance of self-displaying body and wisdom abides in the inner clarity, which symbolizes this point. At that time, awareness manifests in a state of purity without duality, which symbolizes that compassion abides in the inner clarity. At that time, when the moon is full at night, one should realize that self-awareness abides in the expanse of the five lights, spontaneously accomplished. This key point is an extremely important profound essence, which should be kept extremely secret and practiced by those with good fortune. When the body is abandoned and the pure land appears, yogis are liberated in the original ground when the Dharma is exhausted, and in the spontaneously accomplished jewel, there is no change in the three times. Only this! Only this! Only this! Third, the method of practicing compassion and awareness emptiness abiding in the husk of habitual tendencies: there are two types, quiescence and subsequent attainment. First, the body is endowed with the seven dharmas of Vairochana, when the mind abides in a state free from grasping and clinging, awareness does not accomplish anything, and a realization like the sky arises from within and abides, this is the quiescence of pacifying the conceptual proliferation of the mind. From that state, the appearance of the objects of the outer five senses is clear and without attachment, and the inner conceptual thoughts arise and dissolve like waves of water, abiding serenely in the state of great clarity and quiescence, this is because seeing the self-luminosity of the mind's grasping and clinging, great clear emptiness arises as insight. At that time, there is no grasping of the mind's appearance, so it is insight; there is no sinking or agitation in abiding, so it is quiescence; one completely possesses the other, so it is union. No matter what arises, one does not cling to anything, so it is the boundless and vast realm of the enlightened Buddha. Second, subsequent attainment is: in all activities such as walking, sitting, eating, and sleeping, the appearance of external objects is like a dream or illusion, whatever arises in the appearance of the inner mind is self-liberated, and one should become accustomed to the unattached and relaxed state of the duality of object and mind. Such an appearance has no clinging to "what is this," like a dream at dawn; for any awareness that arises, there is no error of acceptance or rejection, like water and waves; for the nature of non-attachment, the space of non-attachment opens up, like the wind in the sky; although it appears in various ways, there is no clinging to it, like the play of illusion. Through the four recognitions, one should practice the power of great non-reality on impure appearances. By the way, some night instructions should also be taught: when sleeping, remember the appearance of death.
