Obeisance to the glorious, primordial Great One! The wisdom of the essence is primordially complete. The self-nature is radiant, and all kinds of elaborations are pacified. The self-arisen compassion is unceasing and self-manifesting. I pay homage in a way that is free from gathering and scattering. The essence is unborn and primordially pure. The self-nature is spontaneously accomplished, and compassion is impartial. The meaning of the essence is the non-duality of various kinds, and it is unborn. Listen as I explain it according to my realization. The basis of all dharmas is complete and beyond comprehension. It cannot be pointed out as "this," and there is no object of thought. The self-nature is unobservable and transcends the extremes of existence and non-existence. It is merely a designation, and none of them are established. Whether it is right or wrong, existence or non-existence, rejection or acceptance, taking or leaving, etc., however it appears, it has no self-nature. Primordially liberated, spontaneously vast, it transcends all foundations. Like the sky, it has no body to point to. Unskilled children are bound by objects. Like deer running after water in a mirage. Deceived by the objects of the five senses, such as form. Bound by the five rivers of afflictions, such as attachment. There is no opportunity to escape from the state of samsara. Meditators who meditate are bound by their minds. Like a silkworm binding itself with its own saliva. The experience of meditation deceives the innate wisdom. The understanding is bound in the box of view, meditation, and action. Constantly revolving in the fence of the antidote to attachment. Non-dual yogis are bound by pride. Like the eye not seeing itself. The confidence of Dharma-nature obscures the primordial state. It cannot be pointed out as "this," and it is bound in a state of freedom from extremes. There is no time for non-duality to be liberated from extremes. Alas! Friends, think carefully. Like a king attached to his own kingdom. Ministers and relatives are attached to wealth. . The poor are attached to even a needlepoint of attachment. . There is no difference in the minds of beings. Whatever one is attached to is the rope of bondage. Enjoy without good or bad, acceptance or rejection, or partiality. Whatever arises in various ways, if you are not attached to objects. Who will the five poisons of affliction benefit or harm? Wisdom itself is self-aware, free from astrological influences. It is the practice of the power of realization, so the spectacle is great. Without abandoning desirable qualities, understand them as ornaments of the mind. Primordially unborn, self-manifesting great
