Therefore, it appears coarse. Likewise, whatever illusory thoughts arise, does the mind change and become dark? If that were the case, the mind of non-thoughtful virtue, would be impossible for beings to experience at times. Therefore, do not calculate whatever arises. Even if it extends or bends, there is no need to differentiate, it is meaningless. Whether it stays or is grasped, what is there to differentiate? It is the natural state, do not artificially modify it. Even if you stamp emptiness on a happy mind, it will not slightly exceed the realm of desire. Clarity and non-thought, form and formlessness, even if you cultivate emptiness by stopping attachment, it is easy. You cannot transcend the three places of happy realms. If you are attached, you will be bound separately in the three places of bad realms. No matter what you do, you cannot be liberated from existence. No matter what arises, if you do not grasp it as such, you will not dwell in existence, nor will you dwell in nirvana. In the state of self-liberation and equality, nirvana is attained. Friends, think about it, no matter how you meditate, it is easy. Does that mind exist or not in the meaning of meditation? If it exists, it is already accomplished, what is the need to meditate? If it does not exist, even if you meditate, it is meaningless, it is the cause of fatigue. It is true that it is to clarify that meaning, is it not? If it does not exist, it cannot be clarified, if it exists, there is no need. No matter what you do, the mind is an antidote. There is a box of illusions there, there is bondage. If you do not fabricate anywhere, and speak naturally, no one can bind you, you transcend the boundaries of existence and peace. As long as there is meditation, there is view and conduct. As long as that is the case, there is Dharma, there is the desire for a vehicle. There is existence there, there is the suffering of samsara. Whoever has no Dharma, has no desire for a vehicle. There is no existence there, there is no suffering of existence. Like the sky, what can stain it? Thus, if the foundation and root are thoroughly determined, no matter what appears day and night, there is no difference. Without the calculation of memory, what is the need to grasp dreams? Without expansion and change, what is there to practice? Just like beings walking and staying in a dream. Walking and sleeping, eating and drinking, whatever appears, happiness and unhappiness, various things, are natural, without the antidote of memory and grasping. This is a dream, this is the dreamer, not making dualistic grasping, without duality, without discrimination. Whatever arises, there is no calculation separate from the meaning. At that time, whatever good or bad appears in the dream, because there is no grasping, there is no karma, no fruition. Likewise, the appearance of daytime after waking up is also the same.

Like not grasping, like a person in a dream, if you don't artificially change its natural state, then there is no box of bondage, and no ripening of karmic results. Alas! Friends, the mind of changing awareness, like a young child, let it be natural and free. Free from thoughts and conceptions, with the behavior of a madman, let it be natural, take it as it comes, and let go like a thunderbolt. Have the demeanor of a relaxed old man, without a box, broad-minded, let whatever arises be spontaneous. This is the vast view of a great yogi. All kinds of thoughts and awareness are the reality of wisdom (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: A). Self-arising, self-liberating, Samantabhadra Dharmakaya, naturally present, always abiding. Thus, apart from Samantabhadra, not even a mote of dust can be found, it is inherently Buddha. Knowing this, one transcends all bondage and liberation, it is the vast view of the basis of nature. Alas! Friends, the mind of various awarenesses, wherever it arises, if there is no clinging, no matter how it appears, it is not stained by anything, like the image appearing in a mirror. The nature of mind is inherently a pure mirror, no matter what kind of affirmation or negation images appear, it is not stained by them, the basis of appearance cannot be denied, the nature is without substantial clinging, self-appearance is empty of inherent existence. Just like the object in front of the mirror, although it is the cause of appearance, appearing in the mirror, that object does not transfer to the surface of the mirror, likewise, appearing and appearing, yet there is nothing to grasp. The object in the mirror has no inherent existence, likewise, this mirror, inherently pure, does not exist anywhere, yet it becomes the basis of all appearances. Good and evil, affirmation and negation, external objects, when various things appear, their image is the mind. Good and evil, affirmation and negation, although they seem to exist, the mind does not have them, transcending all substantial clinging. When there is no clinging, no matter what kind of good and evil, affirmation and negation appear, they do not stain the naturally pure mind. This various mind does not exist anywhere, therefore, like a mirror, it becomes the basis of appearing anywhere. If it is one, it contradicts becoming the basis of many appearances. If it is not determined as many, then there is nothing to grasp. Therefore, the mind has no good and evil, affirmation and negation, external causes and conditions appear as various and distinct. If you don't cling to the causes and conditions, you won't be stained by them, clinging binds, not clinging liberates in itself. Various appearances, yet not stained by anything, is the stainless nature of mind.
