It abides in realization. Sixteenth, to which of the three realms does it belong? It belongs to the formless realm. Seventeenth, the connection with the future body is: when the karma of the bardo is exhausted, one enters the birthplace of the womb. The signs of entering are: if one feels like being on the top floor of a temple or inside a multi-story building, it is entering the realm of gods; if one feels like a rotating wheel of fire, it is entering the realm of asuras; if one feels like being in a village, it is just a human body; if one feels like being in a misty night, it is a pure human body; if one feels like being among many people, it is entering a precious human body; if one feels like being in a bird's nest or a hazy mist, it is an animal; if one feels like being in a cave or a dark place, it is a hungry ghost. Hell does not exist in the intermediate state. Eighteenth, showing the connection between the future body and afflictions is: here, due to the cause of arising anger, one will be born in the form realm; due to desire, one will be born in the desire realm; due to ignorance, one will be born in the formless realm. Nineteenth, the way of cyclic existence is: the six realms of beings pass through each other, like the wheel of a chariot or the turning of a waterwheel. Twentieth, illustrating with a close example: the example is that the karma that propels is like the string of a bow; the acceptance is like a magnet; there, due to the power of habit, the womb grasps the mind. Then, due to the power of karma, one will be born in a place endowed with joy (དགའ་ལྡན།, Tuṣita), a place endowed with strife, a place endowed with equality, a place endowed with intoxication, a place endowed with escape, and a place endowed with great suffering. That body of the intermediate state is also taking the illusory body of the yidam deity. The key point of the instruction is very important. These are the explanation of the characteristics of the bardo and its extensions. Now, explaining the eleventh word meaning, what is the great place of liberation: like this, when liberating from the bardo or from itself, how is the way of liberation? When truly attaining Buddhahood, how will it become? What is the difference between the Buddhas of the past and the Buddhas who will attain Buddhahood later? If you think like this, then, all of these are non-dual and without distinctions, abiding in the equal, self-perfected great state, without any difference, abiding in non-grasping and impartiality. For example, like space dissolving into space. Also, like the space inside a vase, the all-pervading awareness naturally exists. The intermediate connection.

Like the sky, the four lamps are joined, like the outer sky, the dharmadhatu is emptiness, free from elaboration. Just as when a vase breaks, there is no distinction between the inner, outer, and middle sky, so too, awareness is mixed and complete without inner or outer separation. If we temporarily express this result in words, it abides in the nature of reality beyond thought, so it is called Dharmakaya. Because it enjoys the great bliss of the uncontaminated, it is Sambhogakaya. Because it manifests according to what needs to be tamed, it is called Nirmanakaya. Their essence is without difference, so the three kayas abide as one. They are emptiness, without any object to grasp, so they are called the nature of reality, free from extremes. Without the distinction of "this is" and "this is not," it is called indivisible perfection. The nature of reality transcends forms and objects, the grasped and the grasper are empty, so it is called the body of complete freedom from extremes. It is the nature of reality that is uncreated and unarisen, free from dependence, so it is also called the great self of equality without distinction. For such a Buddha, in the state of Dharmakaya, the three wisdoms are complete in the ground: the wisdom of intrinsic purity, the wisdom of self-arisen spontaneity, and the wisdom of all-pervading compassion. But they are not characterized by distinctions. In the state of Sambhogakaya, the five wisdoms, each holding its own characteristics, are clearly manifest: namely, the wisdom of the dharmadhatu, the mirror-like wisdom, the wisdom of equality, the wisdom of discernment, and the wisdom of accomplishing activities. But they are also not object and subject. At the time of Nirmanakaya, wisdom abides in two ways: the wisdom of knowing reality as it is, and the wisdom of knowing reality in its multiplicity. But they are also not endowed with action and agent. Such five kayas possess the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the immeasurable, mindfulness, and close placement, etc. The categories of qualities are inconceivable and beyond expression. From the Supreme Secret Great Perfection Sun Illuminating, the outer shell with precious copper letters, called the King of Instructions, Eleven Meanings, is complete. By the virtue accumulated from this writing, may all limitless sentient beings see the truth of the nature of reality in the self-manifest pure wisdom. Written by the wise.
