Imbue it in your heart, its virtues cannot be expressed in words. The secret letters, mother and children, cherish them greatly, expand them supremely. This is not to be shared with others. The very essence of all secret mantras, the key point of wisdom, gather it here, moisten the heart with the essence. Like precious gold, if used constantly, it increases in value. The secret letters are also the same. Therefore, its instructions are sharp. Without these symbolic letters, the fruits will have no place to ripen and will ultimately be fruitless. Therefore, with these letters that determine all measures, be sure to firmly establish the timing. This supreme method of the essence must be kept secret. Reveal it only after it has reached its measure. The secret of secrets, condense it into the essence of the heart. Gather the essences and make the heart the path. Therefore, these letters are extremely rare. Be sure to grasp them for the sake of the sacred meaning. The extremely condensed heart-drop is most precious. For the realm of consciousness with discursive thoughts, these measures should be grasped for the sake of expanding and increasing. The measure of Dharmata is to abide equally. The measure of wisdom is to be without arrogance. The measure of primordial wisdom is the self-illuminating five colors. The measure of space is appearance as above. The measure of awareness is to be without increase or decrease. The measure of light is obstruction within and without. The measure of bindu is the self-illuminating five bodies. The measure of the ground is to be with increase. The measure of the path is to be with obstruction and disappearance. The measure of the fruit is to be liberated at the point of exhaustion. The measure of the body is the solitary hero. These are also the measures for determining the essence. The later measure is this, the son of mind. The measure of light is appearance as light. The measure of bindu is the true radiance. The measure of wind is the sound from the outside. The measure of space is the shaking of the earths. The measure of the body is the body from the outside. These are also the qualities of awareness. Without reaching the measure, one cannot understand the true meaning. Practice with measure will not be wasted. Therefore, these letters of measure are most precious. This is called the Letters of Measure for Practitioners.
