The profound inner practice, the embodiment of Guru Wish-Fulfilling Jewel, the four empowerments based on the Wish-Fulfilling Jewel, are perfectly completed, along with the auspicious long-life empowerment. Furthermore, auspicious prayers should be offered as appropriate. Moreover, the root of secret mantra is empowerment, and the root of empowerment is samaya (vow). If explained in detail, as stated in the hundred thousand sections of Samaya, the condensed meaning is the general samaya of the five families in Vajrayana, the fourteen root downfalls, and the essential samayas of body, speech, and mind. Regarding the devotion of seeing the lama as the Buddha, it is the essence of everything. From the root text, the Vajra Verses, it says: "No matter which yidam you practice, the door of blessings, all Dharma is none other than the lama, the lama's devotion is without any pretense. Especially, it is the life force of Vajrayana; when this is present, life is present; when this is absent, life is absent." Therefore, no matter what difficulties, ease, happiness, or suffering may arise, one must not abandon devotion to the lama and the samaya. Consider the lama who is so kind to you as the embodiment of Padmasambhava, the union of all Buddhas. As it is said, the root of all protections and vows is to cherish the lama's samaya as one's life. Whatever thoughts and actions arise, do them for the benefit of beings. If you enter the path of mantra, you will attain the state of Vajradhara in one lifetime and one body, which is the special characteristic of the profound secret mantra. Therefore, from now until you attain enlightenment, you, the vajra disciples, should regard Guru Padmasambhava as inseparable from the deity and the lama, and make supplications. Practice the essence mantra. Recite mantras. Especially, you must accept and joyfully follow the tenth-day ceremonies and so on. Like the main deity, etc. Thus, in order to repay the kindness of receiving the complete four empowerments of the profound path of the heart-drop of the Great Orgyen, offer a mandala as a token of gratitude. Offer the great cloud of Samantabhadra's offerings, both actual and mentally created. Offer the mandala filled with all the vast and boundless pure realms. Offer the mandala. Again, transform your body, possessions, and the accumulation of merit of the three times into a cloud of uncontaminated offerings, and offer them, hoping that you will not abandon your compassion and will partake of a portion of them.
