In order to save all sentient beings, he possesses the inexhaustible great vows of the Yidam. In any place where sentient beings suffer from various desires, those who are tormented by desires, if they single-mindedly recite the name of the Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha, and make offerings with focused contemplation, they will obtain all that they desire, be freed from suffering, and according to their fortune, they will attain everything from being born as a god in the higher realms to reaching Nirvana. Similarly, if one prays due to lack of food, clothing, ornaments, etc., they will receive what they desire and ultimately attain Nirvana. If one is separated from loved ones and encounters enemies, if body and mind are afflicted by illness and suffering, if there is fighting and quarreling, if one is imprisoned, if one is beaten, abused, or even faces death, if one is weary in body and mind, weak and powerless, if one's senses are impaired or incomplete, if one is drunk, mentally disturbed, or possessed by evil spirits, if one's body and mind are tormented by various afflictions such as attachment and hatred, rendering one immobile, if one is terrified and shrinks from fears such as fire, water, wind, or falling into a ravine, if one is entangled by venomous snakes, wild animals, and various poisons, if one is afflicted by evil spirits and suffers from various diseases such as persistent fever, trembling and losing memory, if one is beset by yakshas, rakshasas, and other non-humans, fierce beasts, wrathful deities, curses, spells, and encounters on the battlefield, as well as various other fears, causing suffering to body and mind, then if they recite the name of Ksitigarbha and make offerings, they will quickly be freed from all these discomforts and attain the happiness they desire in their hearts. Those who desire vast learning, faith, discipline, meditation, supernormal powers, wisdom, and liberation, as well as those who desire to obtain a sacred body, etc.

The five desires, benefits and gains or fame, merit and craftsmanship, flowers and fruits and gardens, beds and cushions, as well as wealth and grain, the causes of disease, medicine and land property, houses, servants, paints, rain and water, and crops, warmth and coolness, cool pavilions and cool breezes, fire and mounts, wanting sons and daughters, or whoever wants skillful methods or meritorious deeds and a compliant mind, or other worldly and transcendental things that are not these, because of the desire and suffering of these, with one-pointed mind, reciting the name of the Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha, and making offerings with devotion, then, noble son, the merits and power of that excellent samadhi, and the power of glory, will free them all from the torment of suffering, and all wishes will be fulfilled, and as they wish, they will obtain from being born in the heavens to nirvana. Whether sowing seeds in fertile or barren land, whether diligently or not, if one single-mindedly recites the name of Ksitigarbha and makes offerings, then the crops there will be abundant and the fruits will ripen. What is the reason for this? Noble son, this is because in the past, in immeasurable and countless great kalpas, towards immeasurable and countless Buddhas, with great diligence and firm vows, by the power of aspiration, he has completely matured sentient beings. He constantly holds all the great earth, constantly holds all the collections of seeds, and constantly acts according to the minds of all sentient beings. Noble son, by the power of his miraculous abilities, the grasses, trees, sprouts, etc., that grow from this great earth grow luxuriantly, and the fruits ripen, tasting sweet and oily, and smelling fragrant. Furthermore, those sentient beings who, with the fierce and sharp three poisons, manifestly practice the ten non-virtuous paths, if they recite the name of Ksitigarbha, then their afflictions will be pacified, they will be freed from the non-virtuous paths, they will be endowed with virtuous deeds, and they will generate thoughts of loving-kindness, compassion, benefit, and happiness. In each of those fields, in an instant, he liberates immeasurable and countless beings, as many as the sands of the Ganges, from suffering, enabling them to attain happiness, and leading them to nirvana. Thus, son of good family, he possesses qualities, steadfast aspirations, and inconceivable diligent effort. For the sake of fully maturing beings, in the realms of the ten directions, to some he shows the body of the great Brahma king, teaching the Dharma by which they are subdued. Similarly, he shows the forms of the great powerful one, the six classes of gods such as the Paranirmitavasavartin of the desire realm, as well as Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Hearers, Solitary Realizers, Wheel-turning Kings, the four castes such as the royal lineage, the forms of men, women, boys, and girls, as well as Gandharvas, Asuras, Yakshas, and as many non-humans as there are, and various forms of animals such as lions, horses, bulls, elephants, pretas, Yamas, hell guardians, and the bodies of hell beings, countless forms of bodies, teaching the Dharma to many beings according to their individual capacities, causing them to enter the irreversible ground in the three vehicles. Son of good family, that great being is endowed with such inconceivable qualities; he is a treasure of supreme and excellent qualities. He is the source of all precious liberations. He is the fully purified eye of many Bodhisattvas. He is the guide to the city of nirvana. Thus, without special effort, he turns the great wheel of Dharma exceedingly well from the great qualities extensively explained above. Some, even for a moment, a short while, or an instant, with single-mindedness, recite the name of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Ksitigarbha, and by offering and prostrating with reverence and focus, all wishes and prayers will be quickly fulfilled and perfected. What is the reason for this? Because this great Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha is for the benefit and happiness of all sentient beings. He fulfills all the prayers of sentient beings, like a treasure of wish-fulfilling jewels. Therefore, this great being, in order to ripen all sentient beings, has made great and extremely firm vows from a long time ago, and has cultivated great compassion and extremely diligent effort. Because he is superior to all Bodhisattvas, you should offer to him with reverence. After he said this, all the great Bodhisattvas gathered from the ten directions, as well as the Shravakas, gods, and all the great assembled retinue, rose from their seats. Each of them, with offerings of immeasurable forms such as precious flowers, accompanied by songs of praise, offered to Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha with reverence. Ksitigarbha also offered all those various divine substance offerings to the Bhagavan and spoke the verses: Gods, nagas, yakshas, and humans, The offerings of the Bodhisattvas of the ten directions, I offer to the Lord of the world, who has great qualities. Please accept these supreme offerings. After saying this, he bowed his head at the feet of the Bhagavan. The Bhagavan also answered in verses: With steadfast wisdom and pure intention, Relieve the suffering of immeasurable sentient beings, See happiness arise like precious jewels, Cut the net of doubt like a vajra.
