Sa So. All the Tathagatas praised Vajrapani, saying, "Well done!". Then, Manjushri, having become a youth, seeing that the entire retinue was prostrate in the vajra mandala, generated great compassion and gazed at Vajrapani for a long time with both eyes, and said, "Son of good family, please grant a little of the gate for entering the samaya to this retinue. By that, they will obtain the hope of life for this teaching and, having faith, will offer the essence of their own secret mantras." Having said this, Vajrapani spoke a verse of special expression, and together with the dharani of the power of the supreme vajra, gave the vajra to Manjushri, who had become a youth. Then, to those retinues of Manjushri, Vajrapani said, "Sons of good family, remember the vidya queen Vajra Aparajita, who is like a flame, extremely bewildering. She will cause you to obtain benefit, happiness, and life." Vajrapani spoke the great vidya. By the blessings of Manjushri, the retinue arose, and joy and supreme faith were born. Brahma, Shiva, Vishnu, Indra, the Four Great Kings, and the gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, and so forth, all the arrogant, powerful, and mighty ones in the three worlds offered their own essences, together with the rituals for accomplishment, to Vajrapani, and Vajrapani also proclaimed the vajra samaya. Then, Manjushri, having become a youth, entered into the samadhi called "Arising from the rays of the great vajra wisdom," and with his hand took the vajra from Vajrapani, made a stainless utpala flower born from wisdom, and placed the vajra upon it. Immediately thereafter, in all the Buddha mandalas in all the infinite realms of the world, a sound arose, shouting, "How wonderful! This Manjushri, who has become a youth, is the noble Vajra of Giving!". The Buddhas residing in the ten directions of the world, while residing there, extended their right arms and touched the head of Manjushri, who had become a youth, and encouraged him with words of praise, and Manjushri then spoke, dividing the order of accomplishing siddhis with the essences, and others.

Thus I say: Peaceful Wisdom, the merits and power of the solid essence of all Tathagatas are limitless. Peaceful Wisdom Vajrapani, this is called the vajra born from the fire of fear of all Tathagatas, subduing all unsubdued ones. Fulfilling the aspirations of all Tathagatas and Bodhisattvas. Having vowed to supremely and completely protect the teachings. Fulfilling the thoughts of all sentient beings as they are. Entering the gate of proclaiming the aspirations of all Tathagatas in the endless and vast ocean of world realms. Running ahead of all. Thus he spoke. Then, from the immeasurable realms of the ten directions, the Tathagatas extended their right hands and placed them on the head of Vajrapani, urging him to explain the secrets of mantras and mandalas, and thus he explained. At the moment of explaining the mantra for empowering Manjushri with great wisdom, Manjushri transformed into a youth and realized the vajra of great wisdom that necessarily arises from ninety-nine kotis of wisdom. Clouds of offerings appeared in the mandala of all Tathagatas. Due to the empowerment of great wisdom, the sound "Empowerment has been bestowed upon this Manjushri" resounded throughout this great thousandfold world realm. By this power, Manjushri saw the forms of the Tathagatas, equal to the dust particles of the Buddha-fields of the ten directions, entering into a great lotus. Immediately, by the power of realizing the Dharmakaya, from all the pores, hair knots, ornaments, limbs, and parts of Manjushri, the forms of the Tathagatas appeared and resided. Even those Bodhisattvas abiding on the ten great bhumis, who have obtained all mastery of mind, could not comprehend the measure of a single pore, what to say of Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and other worldly beings? Then, Manjushri, having become a youth, gazed at Bodhisattva Vajrapani without blinking, and praised him with verses, and made special praises. Thus it is. From the great tantra of supreme knowledge, whoever is the lord of beings, the Tathagata

Compared to prostrating to the sands of ninety-two kotis of hundreds of thousands of Ganges rivers, prostrating with devotion to the supreme of the great vidyarajas, Vajrapani, generates far more merit than the former. Then, a bodhisattva with immaculate realization asked the Bhagavan: "Bhagavan, from when did this Vajrapani receive the appointment as the great vidyaraja and the lord of vidyadharas? Upon which samadhi does he abide? Who was his previous virtuous friend? Where does he abide?" Upon being asked this, the Bhagavan replied: "In the past, immeasurable kalpas ago, after passing through kalpas equivalent to nineteen Ganges rivers, in a great kalpa called 'Difficult to Tame,' there appeared a Tathagata named 'Light Rays of the Great Lamp of Wisdom.' At that time, this Saha world transformed into a buddhafield called 'Vajradhara.' That Tathagata taught the secret dharma named 'Eliminating Darkness, Completely Eradicating All Darkness, Manifesting Light' to sixty kotis of hundreds of thousands of nayutas of bodhisattvas. To demonstrate the immeasurable praises of samadhi and dharani from the gathering of immeasurable realms of the Vajradhara family, like countless dust particles in limitless and boundless worlds, the Buddha smiled. Then, the great Vajradhara, the supreme of the kings of vajras, named 'Lord of Infinite Worlds,' arose from the assembled retinue, prostrated at the feet of the Bhagavan, and then rose again. From the vast and boundless lower direction, he formed the great mudra, raised the vajra, and truly shook the ten directions of immeasurable and boundless worlds, as well as the ten great oceans. They shook in the manner of kings, and with the great pride of gathering the great ocean, he raised the vajra, and with eyes like the fire of the final destruction, formed the mudra below the mandala of blazing destructive light, placed the vajra at the feet of the Tathagata, prostrated to both feet, and then asked the Tathagata: 'Why did you show a smile to the assembled retinue?'"

Ah! From the opening of the Buddha's face and the treasury of hair between the eyebrows, unprecedented rays of various colors emerged. Therefore, urged by the retinue, I beseech the Bhagavan, requesting you to kindly explain with compassion. After such a request, at that time, from the great and auspicious lotus of the Bhagavan, rays like huge meteors and lapis lazuli emerged, jewel-like rays shining like stars. The great circle of light illuminated the boundless and limitless realms of the ten directions, and flames of light blazed forth. From the circle of immaculate, radiating light, the secret lord Vajrapani, the great vidyaraja, appeared, holding a vajra in his left hand. From the sign of the iron hook in his hand, an iron hook appeared. From the sign of the fish, the desire vajra mother appeared. From the sign of auspiciousness, a continuous thread appeared. From the supremely beautiful swastika, like a burning flame, the fire goddess appeared. From the bird-mouthed vase, the yellow goddess appeared. From the parasol, the powerful victory banner appeared. From the vajra, joy appeared. These seven great messenger goddesses and their retinues appeared. In front of them, fierce and terrifying wrathful forms appeared, wrathful Kilikili, like the precious vajra fist of the final age. From the wrist, a fist appeared. From the burning and beautiful shoulder, the vajra thunderbolt appeared. Thus, the ten messenger goddesses together with their retinues appeared. Similarly, they were expanded into sixty-four. Vajrapani, together with his attendants, messenger goddesses, and retinues, having appeared in the great samaya mandala, when the Tathagata's wisdom lamp great light was invoked with the blessings of the Tathagata, the Tathagata remained in meditative equipoise in the samadhi called Immaculate. First, in order to subdue the unsubduable in the mandala gathered with those of samaya, and in order to proclaim the omniscient wisdom, the ten secrets of the Tathagata's body, speech, and mind, and the king of sutras possessing immeasurable billions of secrets, were proclaimed. Thereafter, the great light of the wisdom lamp and others, having defeated the Maras in the presence of ninety-nine kotis of Buddhas, made the teachings endure forever.
