When a yogi's continuum is complete with the ten aspects of training with outflows, and when the mind is accustomed to the forms of deities, both with and without characteristics, when wise, accomplished, and disciplined individuals gather, when the view of secret mantra is clear, when the samadhi of the mind can accomplish without needing to be cultivated for one's own benefit, when the heat sign of the completion of samadhi arises, when praised by many people, both certain and uncertain, when wisdom is not like words but possesses conviction, when one's own and others' affairs are complete, and when one knows that there are no obstacles to any activity, possessing these nine qualities means that the time has arrived. So, do these exist in desire yoga? Because desire yoga is not ripe, the empowerment is also not fully conferred. Because it is a preliminary activity, it is merely the conferral of listening empowerment from the scriptures. These are taught at the time of fully conferring empowerment, and the Sapa-la has more or less of them. Friends, the standard is like this: This shows the categories of approaching the standard of obtaining empowerment. Friends, who is the leader? It is like this: Step, wisdom, gathering, attainment, and completion. This says that because one is summoned and attains, the excellent guru becomes the guide for oneself and others, one can accomplish everything that is to be known from him and become accustomed to it, possess conviction in how to realize the meaning of secrets, because the instructions are easy to practice together, the mudra woman naturally gathers, and one obtains the teaching on how to conceal the unbroken lineage of the guru's instructions and empowerment. The study and practice of the meaning of empowerment, as well as the attainment of the ultimate empowerment and instructions, also apply to the yoga of the cause. Friends, the early signs are like this: Seeing, wealth, ability, and hearing. This says that there are four early signs of obtaining empowerment: obtaining the sign of seeing without mistaken views, obtaining the sign of wealth by becoming accustomed to the meaning, and finding wonderful objects, fulfilling wishes without relying on others, and obtaining the ability to benefit beings, combining prophecies and history. In short, it is just as stated in the Sutra of the Cuckoo Playing in the Cemetery. Friends, ripening is like this: Manifestation and non-regression. This says that the standard of attainment becomes the fruit, and the experience of the Dharma that is obtained from whatever empowerment arises.

The blessing is great, compassion arises, and actually acting for the benefit of oneself and others is like listening after receiving the empowerment of listening. Because of receiving the empowerment, in order to perfect the power of the empowerment, there is no need to repeat anything. Friends, what is fame? For example, arising from the lineage of the four rivers, possessing the noble ones, being endowed with, being skilled in, and being the attainment itself. Having called out in this way, one obtains five kinds of fame. The fame after obtaining empowerment is that the four rivers of explanation become the inheritors of the lineage of previous occurrences, and one becomes distinguished from others by obtaining empowerment from the worldly path, from other vehicles, and from others. The meaning of empowerment is such that one is inseparable from the measure of the lama, and the three pitakas of sutra, vinaya, and abhidharma, the activities, and the means of taming beings are skilled and accustomed to the empowerment activities. It is not that one has not obtained it, but that one can be empowered by the river of lineage. Empowerment. Oral instructions. The four rivers of practice have all been obtained, and there is no contradiction in the order of the five yogas from each of these. Combine them according to how they are known in each of them. Friends, what are the obstacles? Not obtaining, not arising, not being contaminated, and burning. Having called out in this way, the obstacles that do not allow empowerment to be obtained are like the turbidity of a river, and there are four types in summary. That is, not having been given, not possessing, the time not having arrived, and not having faith and respect. Without a vessel, without essence, everything is empty. That is not obtaining empowerment. Because there is no ability. Without secrecy, forgetfulness, empowerment does not arise. Without vows, distraction and dullness, empowerment is not contaminated. Without faith, with biased minds, extreme hypocrisy. Breaking vows, being a slanderer, faith is reversed, and secrets are leaked. Cut off relations with pretenders. This will be burned by empowerment. This is the meaning of that. What are the signs? For example, fame, change, diligence, and arising. The signs of obtaining properly in this way are fourfold. Everywhere, virtues are famous, arising upwards from the previous field of activity, the cycle of blessings, oral instructions, and dependent origination is continuous, and the ability becomes powerful, so others cannot resist, and one's own doctrine is stable. If practiced, all activities and accomplishments will manifest, and the appearance of virtues will also be distinguished by cause. Friends, what is attainment?

As it is said, summoning and first showing the way of obtaining is: the Vajra King is obtained through the blessing of the Guru, and through the ability of self-awareness. These (teachings) can be commonly attributed to either the same tantra or different tantras. Among them, obtaining through empowerment is also empowered in conjunction with ability. Friends, it should also be understood in this way how to obtain: all those who are objects of compassion here, etc. As it is said, summoning and speaking to show the way of obtaining is: all the disciples who have become the objects of compassion of the Guru's empowerment, entering the five paths, are solely the blessings of the Guru of the higher and higher levels. Occurring is the empowerment of the blessings that benefit realization and special abilities, whichever empowerment is granted: sequentially, first for those who are beginners on the path of accumulation in the yoga of aspiration, because listening to and studying the scriptures of the twelve divisions of the teachings is the basis, therefore the empowerment of listening is granted. When opening the great lineage on the path of application, in order to place oneself and others in benefit through the two, skillful means and wisdom, luminosity and emptiness, the image of the sun and moon is given, or in another way, the mind of skillful means and wisdom is given. When emitting the great breath, the seven treasures of the wheel-turning king's equipment are given, that is, the seven precious jewels are given for the benefit of others. When obtaining the great prophecy, because one is blessed as a son by the holy ones, the eight auspicious symbols are given and obtained. When perfecting great ability, perfecting the abilities of siddhis (藏文：སིདྡྷི་，梵文天城体：सिद्धि，梵文罗马拟音：siddhi，汉语字面意思：accomplishment) and powers, etc., abiding in equality, obtaining the empowerment of the ten powers, suppressing disharmony with the ten powers, and the ten powers, and the very pinnacle of all lands, through which the empowerment of a thousand blazing jewels is obtained, thereby perfecting everything. These are given in accordance with their respective abilities. This great secret that gathers all intentions, speaking presumptuously without having obtained it, and so on, the fault of speaking without having obtained the empowerment of this tantra is: even if one looks at all the scriptures, one will not obtain the fruit thereby. Why is that? Because one has committed the two actions of breaking the two commandments and contradicting the scriptures. As the lineage of the royal family arises, and so on, proceeding with sequential empowerments, teaching with both metaphor and meaning, combining as in the literal meaning. Thus it is said, and both the inferior and the superior have proclaimed the supreme teachings.
