These should be known in due course. In particular, to make this Tantra of the secret teachings meaningful, there are four points: first, the Tantra prophesying how this Tantra itself arose; second, the explanation of how this profound Tantra, transmitted in sequence by the victorious vidyādharas, possesses eight great qualities; third, the explanation that this Tantra with eight great qualities is not the realm of ordinary people, but the practice of those with the sharpest faculties; and fourth, the way this profound Tantra, the practice of those with the sharpest faculties, exists is in the four appearances or three Tantras, arranging according to its existence. Among these, first, regarding how this profound Tantra arose: The victorious vidyādharas, the three, Mind transmission, awareness transmission, ear transmission, Until it reaches. Thus, there are three types of transmission. The victorious mind transmission: the victorious Samantabhadra transmits to the five regent Buddhas, and the five Buddhas transmit to the retinue of bodhisattva princes and others. The vidyādhara awareness transmission: transmission to non-humans, and transmission to both humans and non-humans. First, after the passing of Śākyamuni Buddha, for twenty-eight years, it was transmitted by the three victorious families: Mañjuśrī showed the view, Avalokiteśvara showed the practice, and Vajrapāṇi showed the conduct. Although it is said so, it actually encompasses all three aspects of view, conduct, and practice of secret mantra. Mañjuśrī Kumāra, possessing a beautiful form, taught the Dharma in accordance with the bodies and minds of the gods. Mañjuśrī Vajra Sharp Blade, spoke to the gods with their full count, the guardians of the directions. He spoke to Ratna Odīpta. He spoke to Prajāpati Brahmā. He spoke to Brahmā Sarvamokṣa. He spoke to Brahmā Cūḍāmaṇidhara. He spoke to Indra Śatakratu. He spoke to the assembly of hundreds of thousands of divine vidyādharas. Thus, those gods also held the lineage of bodhicitta and became the successors of the Buddhas. Avalokiteśvara, possessing the form of nectar medicine, in accordance with the bodies and minds of the venomous nāgas, spoke to the nāga king Kālakaṇṭha. He to the nāga maiden Mukhadamanī. She to the nāga maiden Sarvadamanī. She to the nāga maiden Manohara Nandā. She to Dharaṇīndhara. He to the assembly of hundreds of thousands of nāgas. Thus, the nāgas also became as described above.

Thereupon the king awoke and went to the top of the castle to stroll, and saw a statue of the secret lord Vajrapani made of purple precious jewels, one cubit high, standing there. He prostrated and circumambulated it three times, and placed his feet on the crown of his head.

Then (he) stood up and said, "Ema, what a rare and supreme body! It is the glory of the supreme guide! You are the supreme deity of the faithful heart, you are the supreme deity of karmic connection, I will not abandon you even for a hundred kalpas." Saying this, he regarded him as the yidam deity and practiced for seven months. As a result, the scriptures and scrolls that appeared in dreams manifested, and it is said that the visions of their blessings appeared in the books. At that time, the king examined those scriptures and scrolls and seemed to have understood them, but in order to prevent those who were malicious and fond of fault-finding, he pretended not to understand. Then he asked, "Who in the world has the greatest wisdom?" Someone said, "In the country of Zahor, the king named Uparaja has great wisdom." So he sent someone to invite him. But he himself was worried that the king's mind was not yet determined, so he did not accept the invitation. He said, "Load those scriptures and scrolls on horses and elephants, and let me examine them." So he put the scriptures and scrolls in tiger skins and leopard skins, and invited them with various incense such as agarwood and du ru ka, and various offerings such as umbrellas and victory banners. But after his examination, he did not understand even a single word. He said, "If combined with the previous signs, the king himself will understand." So he was invited back again. The king himself examined them again and seemed to have understood them, but he still pretended not to understand. He asked again, "Who in the world has the greatest wisdom?" Someone said, "The incarnation of Buddha Shakyamuni, the monk named Kukaraja, has great wisdom." So he sent someone to invite him, but he was worried that the king's mind was not yet determined, so he did not accept the invitation. Instead, he put the scriptures and scrolls in tiger skins and leopard skins, and invited them with various incense such as agarwood and du ru ka, and various offerings such as umbrellas and victory banners. After the monk Kukaraja personally examined them, he realized that it was the chapter on the practice of Vajrasattva's mind or the chapter on the appearance of Vajrasattva from the hundred thousand chapters of the Mayajala Tantra. So he practiced for seven months, and Vajrasattva appeared in samadhi.
