As a vow, Completely holding all the inner, outer, and secret dharmas, Having immeasurable compassion for beings, In order to manifest the flawless dharmata in myself, I shall hold the pleasing lotus. As a vow of the various karma families, Holding the infinite vows of the three vehicles, In order to manifest that spontaneously accomplished in myself, I shall hold the crossed vajra and sword. As a vow of the secret mantra vajra vehicle, Taking everything onto the path of union, In order to manifest the play without abandonment or acceptance, I shall hold the khatvanga, skull, and hand drum. In short, by which all samsara is purified, Purifying the skandhas, ayatanas, and dhatus, Purifying the senses, objects, and afflictions, The substances for accomplishing the five kayas, five wisdoms, and five speech, Qualities, activities, and the five families. The inner intention and conduct are boundless as the ocean, The outer samaya substances are the five desirable qualities and great skillful means, The five meats, five amritas, and so forth, The root and branch five kinds of samaya. In order to accomplish the supreme vajra, the three of body, speech, and mind, Knowing, not abandoning, and accepting, Practicing and doing the five each, The twenty-five root and branch. From today onwards, I shall hold All the vows of the secret mantra vajra essence. Relying on which, existence is completely purified, All the sacred dharma of peaceful liberation, For the benefit of beings, I shall completely hold. Not abiding in samsara or nirvana, entering supreme bodhi, Offering to the mandala lord vajra master, And all the heroes and yoginis, Accomplishing the boundless ocean of accumulating the two accumulations. With loving-kindness, giving the greatest benefit to beings, Not harming, completely not despising, Not seeking peace for oneself alone, By diligently accomplishing the benefit of others, I shall open the door to liberation for myself and others. Here, recite the Vajrasattva hundred-syllable mantra three times. Then, make the uncommon aspiration: ཧོཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: होः, Romanized Sanskrit: hoḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Ho!) Without arrogance or pride, Reverently honoring the supreme, loving Lama, Skilled in accomplishing the aims of beings, May I thoroughly please the glorious protector Lama! From now until reaching the heart of enlightenment, May I never be separated from the Bhagavan Vajra Samantabhadra, The Yidam mandala, and the oath-bound protectors, The unsurpassed, wondrous, and supreme secret teachings, And may I never be separated from the Vajra brothers and sisters, May we never be separated from the same oath! May there be no obstacles to my supreme practice, May I diligently strive day and night to perfect the path of liberation, May I be counted among the ranks of the Vidyadharas who have accomplished the generation and completion stages, And may I attain the supreme and common siddhis! Bhagavan Samantabhadra, Yidam mandala deities, May I be blessed to see you clearly, And even if I wish to see or write about you, May I directly behold the unobstructed protector! Whenever I practice the generation and completion stages of approach and accomplishment, May I perfect the ocean of intention, conduct, and samadhi, May the four activities of the accomplished Vajra Three Jewels, Be accomplished merely by initiating them! For the sake of all sentient beings throughout the ten directions of space, May I become like Samantabhadra's conduct, And may I have the limitless conduct of the Bodhisattva! May the suffering of all sentient beings ripen upon me, May my virtue ripen upon all sentient beings, May all beings attain the supreme enlightenment of the Sugata, And may my actions for the benefit of others be as limitless as the ocean! Through my diligence, may all sentient beings as vast as space, Be liberated from existence, and when samsara is empty, May I also attain the two supreme enlightenments, And may I be inseparable from the Dharmakaya Samantabhadra! In all lifetimes, may I be a friend to beings, With unsurpassed refuge and protection, May I rain down the rain of desires for the benefit of beings, May I be like the supreme precious jewel! Having accomplished the ten powers, direct knowledge, miraculous powers, and strengths, The dharanis, liberations, and supreme qualities, May I tame those beings who are untamable by others, And may I establish all beings in supreme enlightenment! Wrathful ocean and, clouds radiating from the incomparable burning dakinis, may the practice of secret mantra become an endless ocean! Traversing the sacred places and nearby sites, beholding the pure lands and nearby realms, in the eight great charnel grounds and Candana and so forth, may I share the same fortune as the dakinis! Knowing the dispositions of beings to be tamed through many clairvoyances, accomplishing the wisdom body through many samadhis, attaining the accomplishments of secret mantra through many vidyadharas, may the mandala be accomplished through many supreme places! According to the order of beings' minds, with the Dharma of faculties, showering down the rain of Dharma of various vehicles, completely fulfilling the hopes of each temporary state, may I enter the king of the ultimate vehicle! From the wish-fulfilling cloud masses of qualities pervading the sky, may the rain of many kinds of accomplishments fall, appearing there to whatever needs to be tamed, may I have the power to ripen beings pervading the sky! Whenever the time of death comes, may countless hosts of heroes and yoginis, holding clouds of offerings, come to greet me, may I go to the realm of Akanishta! In that instant, perfecting the Dharmakaya, becoming the Tathagata who is completely pure from the beginning, becoming the Lord of all, Samantabhadra, may I attain the ground of Vajra Great Bliss! In the youthful vase body of the body's pure land, having perfected stability in the precious womb, through the play of the Rupakaya in the world of those to be tamed, may I emanate many kinds of manifestations! Inseparable from the wisdom Dharmakaya, the Lord without beginning or end, in the sky of the Great Perfection of self-nature, may I go spontaneously without effort! In the precious, radiant, pure mandala, seeing the meaning of self-aware Vajrasattva, with the great power of perfect activity, may all beings simultaneously become perfect Buddhas! The golden suns dissolve into space, when the burning rays of light subside, may I see the meaning of the completely pure, vast expanse, the immaculate supreme mother of the Victorious Ones! The mind of enlightenment, matured by the four empowerments, the four lights manifest, the obstructive aggregates dissolve into a body of light, may I accomplish the benefit of others through great transference!
