And possessions, too. May all the virtuous things of the three times, Be given without lack, To accomplish the benefit of all sentient beings. May the great elements, such as earth, And like the sky, may I always Be a source of manifold sustenance For immeasurable sentient beings. Likewise, until the limits of the sky, In all realms of sentient beings, Until all have passed beyond sorrow, May I also be a source of sustenance. I beseech all the Buddhas, Bhagavat, residing in the ten directions, and the great Bodhisattvas abiding on the ten grounds, and the Vajra Holder Lamas, to pay attention to me. I, who am called by this name, from this time until I reach the essence of enlightenment, just as the Sugatas of the past Generated the mind of enlightenment, And in the discipline of the Bodhisattvas, They dwelt in order, Likewise, for the benefit of beings, I will generate the mind of enlightenment, And likewise, in that discipline, I will train in order. Recite this three times to take the generation of aspiration and application. Today my life has fruit. I have well obtained the state of a human being. Today I am born into the Buddha family. Today I have become a child of the Buddha. Now, by whatever means, I will undertake actions that are in accordance with my lineage. In this faultless, noble lineage, I will not become defiled; I will act in that way. Today, in the presence of all the protectors, I invite beings to Buddhahood, and also invite all to dwell in bliss. May the gods and demigods and so forth be joyful. In order to practice all good and excellent deeds, I will practice the aspiration of Manjushri. In all future kalpas, without weariness, I will completely accomplish all of his deeds. Precious mandala, delightful offering clouds, Endowed with immeasurable wealth of all desires, By offering this ornament of immeasurable space, May all beings enjoy the pure realms. Ogmin, the great bliss, the precious palace, Adorned with banners of various offering clouds, By visualizing it filling the sky and offering it, May all beings enjoy the Sambhogakaya realms. The clear light, spontaneously accomplished, the realm of the five wisdoms, Primordially adorned with body and bindus, By offering it purely with self-appearing purity, May all beings enjoy the Samantabhadra Dharmakaya realm. The Actual Practice: OM. From the realm of primordiality, having manifestly awakened, Supreme protector of all samsara and nirvana, the first, All-Good Five Families, peaceful and wrathful deities, together with the gurus, Please come here, consider me, and be seated. In the realm blazing with qualities, spontaneously perfected, Deities whose form and wisdom are inseparable, Gurus, yidams, assemblies of dakinis, And the ocean of oath-bound ones, I pay homage. With offerings actually arranged and those mentally emanated, Outer, inner, and secret offering clouds, I offer as an ocean. From beginningless time until now, In the suffering of beings in samsara for a long time, Whatever non-virtue I have done with body, speech, and mind, All transgressions, errors, and impairments, I confess. Perfect Buddhas, protectors, bodhisattvas, And the two noble ones, and all ordinary beings without exception, The virtue of the three times, doing, causing to do, And having done, I rejoice in all. Sentient beings who are suddenly afflicted by disturbing emotions, In order to see the purity of the nature of that realm, Outer, inner, and secret, unsurpassed, I request that the wondrous wheel of dharma be turned. Buddhas, suns of the world, wherever they appear, All the sons and daughters who are the friends of beings, In order to dispel the thick darkness of sin, I request that you be lamps as long as samsara exists. For the sake of all beings attaining the supreme enlightenment of the Victorious Ones, which is worthy of merit and virtue, By dedicating the entire heap of merit, May all beings go to the city of liberation. HO! Perfect Buddha, the precious pure nature of mind, And the sacred dharma, utterly free from the stains of realization, I take refuge in the assembly of those with excellent conduct, And I respectfully prostrate to those who are free from craving. From this day forth, for the sake of nourishing all beings, I offer myself as a servant to the protectors, Please accept me with loving compassion. Please also consider! I am not seeking the merits of kingship, heavenly enjoyment, and fulfilling desires, but only striving for the benefit of beings with a compassionate heart, seeking to become the protector of the three realms. In this, I ask you, the all-knowing one, to be my witness. Protector, you have no obscurations of wisdom, you know my pure intention. Before the noble ones, the vows I have made, I will not break, Protector, I will not deceive you. From now on, I will completely abandon attachment and distractions to profit and fame, and focus solely on accomplishing the benefit of others. I will begin the great yogic practice. I will generate the supreme Samantabhadra Bodhicitta. From now on, I will properly uphold the ultimate and conventional Bodhicitta. If all sentient beings were to gather together, even if they were to chop my body into a thousand pieces, I would not abandon Bodhicitta, wisdom, compassion, and the yidam deities and Buddhas. Just as the Buddhas of the past and their retinues, and the assemblies of vidyadharas and dakinis like the ocean, have upheld the outer, inner, and secret supreme vows and the infinite ocean of precepts, from now on, I will also enter this great path and uphold them for the benefit of beings. Primordially unborn, pure like space, unchanging, spontaneously accomplished, naturally luminous, without artificiality, meditating on the meaning of the nature of reality, from the vast expanse of the Dharmakaya, I will uphold the vow of the meaning of Samantabhadra. In the vow of the Tathagata family, gathering discipline and virtue, benefiting sentient beings, and to symbolize the essence of Bodhicitta in oneself, I will also uphold the object of the Dharma wheel. In the vow of the unchanging Vajra family, not deviating from the meaning of self-nature generation and completion, honoring the Vajra master, and to symbolize skillful means and wisdom in oneself, I will also uphold the object of the Vajra bell. In the vow of the wish-fulfilling Ratna family, performing the altruistic activities of the four gifts, perfecting the great accumulation of merit and wisdom, and to symbolize spontaneously accomplished qualities in oneself, I will also uphold the object of the jewel.
