Have I broken the inner samaya, becoming a vow-breaker? Have I not maintained the boundaries of protection, being in the ranks of sin? Have I broken the command of the kind teacher? Have I disturbed the mind of the special friend? Have I, as a general in a great war, turned against the great army? Have I turned water into fire, or taken the lives of sentient beings? Whatever misdeeds and obscurations there may be, In the presence of the noble ones who are manifestly present, I recall the remorse in my heart and confess and repent. Since we are sentient beings, we make mistakes out of ignorance. Since it is an illusion, I confess my faults afterwards. May you accept the great compassion of forgiveness, I pray that you grant the purity of great wisdom. Recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra as appropriate. Then, the auspicious verses are: Thinking that the Buddhas of the ten directions have auspicious thoughts, the Bodhisattvas make melodies, the gods and goddesses rain down flowers, and the Dharma protectors dispel the obstacles of hindrances, Scatter flowers on the mandala of all. Possessing perfect abundance, like a golden mountain, The protector of the three realms, free from the three stains, The Buddha, with eyes like the petals of a blooming lotus, That is the first auspiciousness of goodness in the world. May that auspicious and sacred one bring happiness and well-being today. The supreme and unwavering teaching that is close to it, Famous in the three realms, worshiped by gods and humans, The sacred Dharma, which pacifies the sufferings of beings, That is the second auspiciousness of goodness in the world. Auspicious... The sacred Sangha, rich in the auspiciousness of Dharma and learning, The object of worship for gods, humans, and asuras, The supreme of the assembly, the field of shame, modesty, and glory, That is the third auspiciousness of goodness in the world. Auspicious and sacred one, today... Victorious ones and their children, with the power of merit, And the praises of all the gods, The power of secret mantras and knowledge mantras, And the truth of those who speak truthfully. Auspicious... May merit be as stable as a mountain, May fame spread like the sky, May the lineage be as clear as the sun and moon. Auspicious... May eighty thousand kinds of obstacles be pacified, May we be free from unfavorable and harmful conditions, May our desires be fulfilled and may we have perfect abundance. Auspicious... May we live a hundred years and see a hundred autumns.
