The meaning of abiding naturally without artifice. Having abandoned the extremes of permanence and annihilation of things, Beyond the four extremes of inexpressibility, The nature of dharma abiding effortlessly, That is called Phurba. Thus, it is placed without conceptualization. Recite the root mantra. May self arise as the root deity. To protect the four samayas of conduct tantra is: Conquering the enemy of sleep, abstaining from intoxicating alcohol, slaying the enemy of laziness, protecting secret speech, all these should be properly brought into practice. Then scatter auspicious flowers. Hūṃ. With immeasurable great compassion, accomplishing the karma of Phurba, delighting the wheel of gods of the three realms, may the auspiciousness of all victors come! The three realms of the vajra body, striking the vital point with the life-giving path, may it become the essence of bliss-emptiness, the four joys, the supreme mudra. The Dākinī who slays Māra, establishing the Phurba of symbolic substance, may enemies and obstacles be completely eradicated from the root, may the auspiciousness of the flourishing of the teachings come! In the dharmadhatu, free from elaboration, with the union of awareness and wisdom, may it be as clear as space, free from dust, may the auspiciousness of the supreme fruit come!
