I am separated, becoming the lowest of all worlds, always feeling thirsty, thinking of hunger in my mind, having a short life and many diseases. Then, the lord of the gods, Indra, having heard the evil words of the immaculate jewel heart of the son of the gods, was extremely frightened before the Blessed One, and with an unhappy mind, he prayed thus: Blessed One, I have become hopeless. I have no protector. The Blessed One said: Lord of the gods, there is a great antidote to the punishment of the Lord of Death, so do not be without hope. Therefore, in the future, at the time of death, those beings will die peacefully. Sentient beings will be completely liberated from all hells and animal realms. By merely remembering, all obscurations will be purified. They will become long-lived. They will obtain an extremely pure body. Then, the lord of the gods, Indra, and the four great kings, Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheshvara, bowed down with their palms joined together towards the Blessed One, and prayed to the Blessed One thus: Blessed One, please increase hope. This mudra will dissolve the sand of sixty-two billion Ganges rivers. All the obscurations of past karma will be destroyed, and all the hells of sentient beings will also be destroyed. For example, fire burns grass, and the wind quickly blows away the ashes. Similarly, all the sins accumulated in previous lives are burned. For example, when it rains, the water flowing down from the mountains washes away the dust and dirt on the ground. Similarly, just seeing and hearing this dharani will purify sins. For example, fire refines gold, making it soft and easy to cut. Similarly, just reciting it will purify the body, without a doubt. For example, when the sun rises, its rays shine everywhere.
