如是。摧伏死主之军。何者极具正念，于此法律中行持，彻底舍弃生死轮回后，将能止息痛苦。为了彼此守护戒律，以及使教法增盛，宣说了此别解脱经，僧众即行布萨。因何宣说此经，又因何行布萨？当守护此戒律，如牦牛尾之顶端。宣说别解脱经的，所有功德成就，愿以此令所有世间，获得能仁之果位。别解脱经圆满。以殊胜自在主吉祥拉赞波之教令，由圣一切有部之持律论师智纳弥扎，以及校勘之译师班德秋若鲁嘉参翻译、校勘并确定。此别解脱经，不仅因一般所有比丘皆须铭记于心而极重要，而且于此处，声闻乘之支分三事之仪轨中，于布萨之基础时，读诵此经，于其余四次亦不可或缺。因此，以其为支分，由说法之比丘根潘塔耶，于汇集所有宁玛噶玛九乘次第之支分仪轨，并于准备付梓之际，参考根本经论及其注释，进行校对、修正，并善为确定。 比丘之别解脱经。

Thus it is. To vanquish the hosts of the Lord of Death. Whoever is exceedingly mindful, And practices in this Dharma-Vinaya, Having completely abandoned the cycle of birth, Will put an end to suffering. For the sake of mutually guarding the precepts, And for the sake of increasing the teachings, This Pratimoksha Sutra was recited, And the Sangha performed the Uposatha. For what reason was the Sutra recited, And for what reason was the Uposatha performed? That discipline should be guarded, Like the tip of a yak's tail. Whatever merit is accomplished, By reciting the Pratimoksha, May all the world, Through it, Attain the state of the Sage. The Pratimoksha Sutra is complete. By the command of the glorious Lha Tsanpo, the lord of supreme power, it was translated, revised, and finalized by the master Jinamitra, the holder of the Vinaya of the Sarvastivada school, and the great reviser, the monk Choero Lujai Gyaltsen. This Pratimoksha Sutra is not only important because all monks in general must keep it in mind, but also because in this case, in the ritual of the three branches of the Hearer Vehicle, when reciting the Sutra at the time of the basis of the Uposatha, it is indispensable during the other four times.
