The very essence of Torma, a feast of nectar. The very essence of Torma, a feast of nectar. This is the ritual called "The Very Essence of Torma, a Feast of Nectar." Homage to the Teacher, the Blissful One! In the practice of the sacred Dharma of the teachings, For the Dharma practice during the breaks of the Sangha, I will briefly explain the meaning of Torma. "Balim" means strength and power, Entering into the mindstreams of oneself and others, obtaining the immortal Great power, capable of subduing the four maras, The sacred substance is the five amritas (藏文:པཉྩ་ཨ་མྲྀ་ཏ་,梵文天城体:पञ्चामृत,梵文罗马拟音:pañcāmṛta,汉语字面意思:五甘露). If we explain the meaning of the word in the Tibetan language, Without attachment, completely giving away, therefore it is called "Tor." Without hatred, loving like a child, therefore it is called "Ma," Without near or far, equanimity, is the friend of both. The view, the Torma of the mind that abides in reality, On the self-face of the Dharmakaya, which is unborn, All kinds of appearances, without exception, arise simultaneously, The life force of the one taste Dharmakaya is stable. The meditation, this Torma of the body of the yogi, Kindling the five lamps of wisdom tummo, Melting the five nectars with the hook of compassion, The life force of the five skandhas and elements, the five Buddha families, is stable. The conduct, The outer Torma of the generation stage, Above, offering to the superior deities, Below, giving to the assembly of spirits, Equally, the substance enjoyed by the Vajra brothers and sisters. If one does not diligently practice the Yoga Torma, Then one will not be able to eliminate its obstacles, As a vow for the accomplishment of purposeful actions, It was established by Vajradhara himself. The deities of the Samaya being and the Wisdom being, With a single posture, perform various dances, The Father and Mother, sons and ministers, the assembly of retinues, The messengers, servants, etc., enjoy first, Following from the outside, etc., are inconceivable. Making them happy and satisfied. Thus, the nature of Torma is limitless, If summarized, it is the collection of one's own and others' mindstreams, body and possessions, Whether owned or not owned, With real offerings, imagined offerings, large, medium, and small Objects of focus, any kind, Generating them as deities, or generating them as immeasurable palaces, Generating them as the five meats and five nectars, Generating them as an ocean of defiled and undefiled nectars, Generating them as messengers to accomplish the four actions, Giving away body, life, and wealth as ransom, Generating them as the linga of enemies and demons.
