Concise Water Offering. Concise Water Offering. Herein is the Concise Water Offering Ritual. Here, the water offering that needs to be done in the morning is that, whether it is a new or old tradition, elaborate or concise, it can be done, but there is no need to mention it separately. If one prefers to do a concise one because the elaborate and intermediate ones cannot be accomplished, then there are four points: accomplishing oneself, accomplishing the substances, inviting the guests, and the order of offering to the guests. Accomplishing oneself is meditating on Great Compassion. Accomplishing the substances is, the three sweets and three whites, etc., without mixing the three meats, alcohol, and garlic, and the material for the torma, such as tsampa, is placed in a precious vessel or any vessel, placed on a platform, and meditated upon according to the text. Inviting the guests is, when stating the object of offering, the guests to be revered, the guests of the Protector's qualities, the guests of compassion for the six realms, and the guests of karmic debts and loans. Each is visualized as descending in the space in front and on the ground. Fourth, the order of offering to the guests is, the guests to be revered are offered with the seven-limbed practice of inviting and requesting to be seated as a preliminary. When reciting the names of the other guests, visualize them as appearing in front in an instant. Then, with confession of downfalls as a preliminary, the refuge and bodhicitta are: "I go for refuge to the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha," recite three times, and the four immeasurables such as "May all sentient beings have happiness," etc., as a preliminary. Then, all phenomena become emptiness. In order to receive my offerings, I request you to abide here. This offering, equal to all three thousand worlds, with eight lotus petals and stamens, is comfortable and spacious, so I offer it for your comfort, I request you to abide here. To the Guru, Yidam, Buddha, Bodhisattvas, Dharma Protectors, and the Self-Arisen Queen and her retinue, I offer these nectar tormas.
