Like his son, one lamp giving rise to two, The lineage of realized masters, who have realized the wisdom mind of non-duality, The garland of youthful suns of accomplished masters, Appeared in succession, radiant and dazzling, Famously known as the Garland of Kagyu Jewels. From the indestructible sound of Vajra Nada, From the Dharma wheel, vast as the sky, A mere drop of speech dispelling the darkness of existence, Transformed into a chain of letters, how wondrous! Why is this so? Because even the Buddhas and their sons, Depend on the glorious Lama. Better than offering to all Buddhas, offering to one Lama, Is of greater merit, as the Buddha himself has said. Having offered to the Lama in the realm of Brahma, In order to quickly infuse the essence of the Lama's great wisdom blessing, Into the bindu of the heart, Singing the songs of Vajra, Experiencing the supreme taste of the meaning of speech, Praying with unbearable, intense devotion, This is the unerring, extraordinary tradition, Of the glorious Dagpo Kagyu. By striving in this, one effortlessly obtains, The supreme Vajra Wisdom Transference Empowerment. Pacifying all adverse conditions on the path to enlightenment, Perfecting all the qualities of the grounds and paths without exception, From gaining power over the natural realm of Dharmadhatu, To accomplishing the state of Lama Vajradhara, What need is there to mention the accomplishment of common siddhis, Such as pacifying illness and evil spirits, and increasing life and merit? By the virtue of striving here, may all sentient beings as vast as space, Enter the path of the unsurpassed Vajrayana, Perfect their devotion, and see their natural face. May they swiftly accomplish the state of the Lama of the Three Kayas! This is an intermediate verse, composed by the Sun of the Doctrine. ༈ May all sentient beings, represented by myself, accumulate the merits of the three times of samsara and nirvana.
