The great master Naropa completed it. In the presence of the great Indian scholar Naropa Pandit, the translator Marpa Chokyi Lodrö translated, revised, and finalized it in the dense forest north of Pūṣpa ha ri. Lord Marpa composed the colophon and translation statement. Furthermore, Lord Naropa was born in the Kashmir (Kasmira) region of Kache. In the great commentary on Naropa, it says, "The glorious great Kashmiri achiever, with a good reputation." It is mentioned repeatedly. As Lord Marpa said, Ngok wrote in the Srepho oral instructions, "Lord Naropa is from Kashmir, and is also known as the glorious Memurwa." This is his view. Some Raschung ear-whispered lineage holders say he is from eastern Bengal, but this does not accord with Lord Marpa's view. Naropa is prophesied in the Samvara Tantra, "Bhagavan, the root will not regress." The former ones said that this lineage is the root lineage. Later, many translator scholars thought that "Roga" is an argument or opponent, and later it was forbidden, so it is "Nāro," meaning without argument or without opponent. Good Reputation, Wisdom Accomplishment, Fearless Fame, Kalachakra Foot, Naropa, Samantabhadra, Akashagarbha, Root Lineage - these eight names are their views. Sakya Pandita said, "The so-called Narotapa is a branch of the Brahmin caste. Because they do not understand its meaning, through asceticism, Anana became Roga." Although he said this, this lineage considers it to be a royal lineage. The Shangpa Kagyu also explains in detail that Niguma and her sister are of royal lineage. However, this is not contradictory to the Brahmin caste, because the Brahmin caste later became kings. Although the small booklets of this practice lineage, which say "Died of illness," are old, those are because they have not studied all the profound teachings of this lineage, but have only received one or two essential oral instructions from the guru and practiced them, so they are only the words of some accomplished ones. It is said to be written in the lineage biography said to be written by Gampopa, but it does not appear to be the characteristic of Gampopa's writings. Nevertheless, the wording is not elegant.

It is not possible to establish the standard of measuring people and Dharma only in this way, and there are very many treatises written by authors whose merits are not yet complete in Tibet, and those are not enough to be refuted. The oral instruction is that Lord Marpa wrote down the words of Lord Naropa in Chinese as they were, and later it was called the southern Drowo Lung. A place where mothers and dakinis gather, A valley where a thousand medicines and eight kinds of rhizomes grow, A place decorated with fragrant trees. As prophesied, in the sleeping room of that holy place of accomplishment, it was translated into Tibetan. As it is said: The secret practice oral instructions of the Bhagavan Mother Vajrayogini, including the twelve oral instructions, were translated by Marpa Chokyi Lodro from the glorious Naropa, for the sake of the primary meaning, in the upper room of Drowo Lung. In short, this lineage does not turn the secret mantra into Bon, nor does it use the Dharma as a side business for this life, nor does it use the profound points for assembly talks and debates, because it does not proclaim the hearing of the Vajrayana, so it only records the seeds of the profound points and does not write them down. Instead, the accomplished lama teaches the disciples with suitable vessels according to the order of their faculties, so that realization arises in their minds, and this is the only practice. There is no tradition of making commentaries, general meanings, and debates. The Bhagavan Akshobhya said: The early Kagyu masters did not write down the oral instructions, and the disciples matured into accomplished ones, so the phenomenon of people being able to hold the vessel of oral instructions occurred. Although I have heard these words as they are, nowadays the practice lineage has declined to the extreme. They do not practice, but compete to see who writes more words. As Rangjung Dorje said in the Kagyu Dharma catalog, it has come true, and the practitioners of the practice lineage also carelessly discard the immeasurable profound points of their own tradition's oral instructions, and without hesitation take refuge in the great volumes of other traditions, which are the essence of nihilistic and eternalistic views. This seems dangerous, and it is hoped that those who seek liberation will not work in vain. Now the teachings of the Kagyu lineage have reached the time of scriptural transmission, the Bhagavan Akshobhya.
