The method of practice and the way to guide disciples, my supreme guide, the victorious Karmapa, composed by Rangjung Dorje, I have condensed it briefly to speak for the benefit of others. Here, having received the empowerment of the Bhagavan Kunrig, desiring to accomplish the benefit of oneself and others, one should practice in this way: Purify the house and utensils with water recited with the yaksha mantra. Decorate the place beautifully. Arrange the objects of refuge and offerings as much as possible. During the mudras, be sure to assign the names Oṃ, Hūṃ, Trāṃ, Hrīḥ, Aḥ to the five fingers, including the thumb. Then, recite "Samaya Tvam" and sit on the seat. If you wish to perform the preliminary torma, arrange a torma of various foods. Sprinkle it with water. Extend the vajra fists with the two Aḥs, slightly bent, to increase the activity of the vajra yaksha. Oṃ Vajra Yakṣa Hūṃ. One or three times. Clasp the hands inward, open the mouth upward, and raise the two Oṃs with their tips touching between the middle and ring fingers, which is the fire mudra.
